It's a ruined Cat D, I'm suprised it has much value at all beyond parts. If it was only damaged on the nearside doors then why is it missing the nearside front wheel arch liner as well....

yeh its a dog, i still wouldnt mind paying 3k for it, rebuilding the engine, gearbox and diff in my spare time

Go on Fox you know you want an E39 M5 ;)

Now I remember why I don't post in motoring very often, lol! :p

Any other sensible recommendations please, M5 estate perhaps...

Take a look at a Avensis estate. Very underrated IMO.

Thanks, they actually look decent, first one I found looks good here, same size as the Mondeo estate's the only problem, parking's tight where I live, and 2ft would be sticking out onto the road, probably not the end of the world!

Ok, back on topic.

How about a Volvo estate, surely Volvo+Dog= Voldog i.e happy dog and plenty of room.

I really like the V50, anything else is a bit big again, but it looks ideal.

Speaking from experience in them both I would go for the Focus estate over the cmax.
As a driving experience it is far beter than the cmax in my opinion. The C-Max although praised as driving "like a focus", Just doesnt.
It lolls and wobbles just like an mpv (strange that ) and also doesnt seem to offer up any more useable room than the estate, Particularly for dogs.
It feels roomier inside as it has loads of head room , Great if you like big hats I suppose, But I really dont think for someone with dogs its as suitable as the estate.
Something like this should be ideal - http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...red-listing/dealer/76493/usedcars?logcode=flp

Thanks again for the replies, there's actually a Forester XT something in a garage 100yds from work, don't think it's quite my cup of tea, 'sensible' Focus looks the better bet. ;)

The Forester is extremely sensible unless you get the STi model. It's designed for dogs and shooting and outdoors and mud. I'd have thought it might be worth a look if for no other reason than to confirm that the Focus is the right choice.
