My godfather has a C-Max and loves it. And the Focus has always been class leading.
So i'd be choosing between a focus estate and a c-max myself.

How about a Volvo estate, surely Volvo+Dog= Voldog i.e happy dog and plenty of room.
something reasonably economical, not too big, and preferably reliable of course!
