just got this info from a mate, logged into EA live chat enquired about DS2 and they activated it straight away !! marvelous !!

Left mouse button, although the very first you see you're not supposed to fight. Just leg it, then you find an add on that lets you pick up and shoot boxes and such (mavity gun style).
 
Dead Space 2 reminded me of Bioshock a little bit at the begining, it's a good game though.
