Gears of War 3 Dated (Official blah blah)

My Game copy best by on the mat when I step through the door after work or I'm going to explode.
 
The range does seem to be reduced on the shotgun so far. Well so far it doesn't seem like they are still shooting me from miles away when I'm running away.

Sawn offs though are a new issue :(

Game is super smooth though online, zero evidence of lag like I'm used to with COD and original gears. :)
 
What's the deal with the highlight colours on dropped guns ? When trying to pick them up to get their ammo..

I've had red lancer + hammerburst ammo and also blue of both... makes it hard to pick up ammo for one without accidentally swapping weapons :confused: I have to stop and wait for the words to come up saying which weapon it is.

In the beta the Hammer burst was a complete beast. Had no problems at all dealing with retro lancers or shotgunners, they couldn't get close :) and if they did then you deserve to die for not being alert enough :p
 
Digger on checkout is hugely satisfying, they just can't see it coming :D

Only one new map that I'm not keen on, the one with the turret up high.

Theatre mode would have been awesome on this.
 
grrrr been up since 8 waiting for parcel force to come, they delivered it next door and didnt even bother knocking my door (iv had my bedroom door open, no tele on so i could hear them knocking when they came) apparently they delivered it at 9.15am :/ so iv been waiting an extra 90 mins for my Epic Edition, but i have it, statue is gorgeous, and has some weight to it :D and assteveo said its massive :O wasnt expecting it to be that big :D

Anyone had a chance to play? Can't decide if I want to fork out £40 odd for this or not...

Enjoyed the first 2, but not greatly.

I never used it so can't compare, I still think Lancer takes 20% too many shots to drop a shotgunner coming at you.

Then I'd suggest not, it's probably the least interesting of the 3 campaigns. Less wow moments like I mentioned above and the settings are not as impressive.

Not enough "hammer of dawn is online" either :D

I miss the HoD :(

Oh well, will wait for it to crop up in the bargain buckets.

Either that or just borrow from a mate next week.
