Mine came today, played it for a few hours this evening. Very enjoyable so far. Been ages since I've played gears so was a little rusty to start with.
I'm playing the single player on normal, just got onto Act 2, and played a few team death match games online.

Just popped into town with my brother to pick up my preorder. Didn't realise I'd preordered the limited edition. Not opened the game yet as I've got to work, but had a sniff at the packaging and the cog medal.
No, I won't be showing you the back - it's got a character unlock code laser etched on the back.
Dead chuffed.
Mate's birthday copy arrived this morning, he popped over tonight and we played through act 1. Slow to start, but sets the scene nicely. First impressions are much like Gears 2. Graphically they've done a great job compared to the predecessor, feels like I've got to learn a whole new control system again though. Still as satisfying popping heads off though. Thank God.

You're playing against people with years of experience with the shotgun.
We can set up some great private matches though and still rank up as normal
It's much more satisfying stomping on each other.I'm going to cancel my COD for this year completely I think. Play something different for a while and get the Gears version of the elite membership instead as it will include more SP stuff as well.
I can rent MW3 to finish the story.
It's so much nicer to get headshotted by snipers who aren't quick scoping.

My GAME Epic Edition turned up this morning at half 7.
Opened it all up, loving it all!
The Statue is awesome, really detailed and nice and weighty, the paperwork that comes with it is nice and authentic looking.
Looking forward to getting stuck into this later on this evening with a few friends and Horde 2.0 / Beast Mode!
