Your theory doesnt hold much water, getting Jets and large maps in working order wouldn't be left to the last minute, thats some major gameplay points right there, woulda been nailed down Months back.

I agree with Gerard.

If the jets haven't been sorted by now and require still some more work on consoles, then there is some serious trouble here with regards to game release.

If the game gets delayed beyond 25-28 October, then I don't know of consequences!! :eek:

Btw there was a post about a screenshot of open beta that showed five different gameplay options and had caspian border aswell as opeation metro.

What was that all about?

BF:BC2 and MoH for SQDM/TDM and Conquest/Sector Control.

I uninstalled those two weeks ago though, so LOTRO for me, and i will probably check the supposed 'changes' as well.

I think thats the main cause of concern for most people, the helicopters in BC2 blew chunks control wise. People want some assurance for themselves that this isnt the case in this game.

No. You bought MOH LE and got MOH LE - as an extra they offered you early beta access. You bought BF3 as a pre-order and got BF3 - as an extra they offered you early beta access.

It is EXACTLY a freebie/bonus. It is not the product you are paying for - just an additional extra to sweeten the deal.

If you've only purchased MOH LE or preordered to get the early beta access and now are disappointed then bad luck, but Dice don't owe you a refund or something.

Jets/Heli's will have been tested to death by DICE's own test team, all the beta is for is back end (server) load testing and weapon/map balancing etc.

If that's the case, then server loading on 32 instead of 64 on PC is pointless.

And if you buy the BF3 Limited Edition and they promise you the Karkand map pack but then just before the release of the map pack announce that you have to pay for it, that's fine too?

Eh? The number of players in a game doesn't affect the number of players on a physical server. The amount of concurrent players a server can handle is the same regardless if it's 10 64 player games or 80 8 player games.

Fact is EA are using the Beta for marketing purposes to top up pre-orders, how many people on here handed over 40 notes to get 48 hour early beta access? how many people would have waited for free beta and bought elsewhere for a tenner cheaper had they known the beta map is 32 rush on choke point central metro.

It actually does, take MMO's for example, or spawning numerous mobs on a multiplayer server, it's stressing the server load.
