It wasn't yellow gunk in my WC build

Could it be a chemical reaction thing? I doubt the water would be getting that hot.

Would be my guess.

But if it was a chemical reaction, wouldn't that apply to the res?

My first guess, would be that the pipe's didn't have their plastic compound mixed properly, which has caused it to dissolve/react with the water/anything in it.

Was it your thread that I read somewhere about you buying the coolant from some one else who have used some of it and sold it to you online?

wow... in a way i'm kinda glad my EK res cracked in the first month of using it :D

that's seriously messed up, i hope they sort all your gear out mate.

Lol no :D

Yes do, mine was the 150 advanced.
Does yours have the plastic pipes inside?

I've got one plastic pipe, I had debated removing it.
And EK res's are so stupid. My "holder" things wouldn't tighten, so I have it been held up by tubing effectively and pushed down by my 24 pin.

Mine wouldnt hold properly either so I had it sat on an SLI bridge protector.

man thats bad ive got the same res but am using the anti cyclon attachment instead.

as for the res holders yep they are bad, keeps coming off so i am switching to the koolance dual D5 bay res

I'm kicking myself for not getting it.
I struggled a fair amount with the EK Res mounting, I felt like "Jesus, I must be an idiot". I had to use different screws to mount the holders with.

are these the newer black res holders you're talking about? I got the old clear ones and they grip the res quite good. I'm using just one to hold the res and the tubing does the rest to keep it straight.
