Just installed my Crucial M4 64GB for use as my OS drive.

Cost me £78 and it's seems like the best noticeable upgrade ever.

You might be thinking 64gb is not enough but as I'm not a PC gamer it fits all of my applications perfectly with lots of space left over. For a budget or until SSDs get even faster and better value, I throughly recommend this as an entry drive.

After my Windows 7 install, I had 50gig left for applications.

Ensure you,

Disable System Restore - 4gb>
Disable Page File - 7gb

Also made sure my default download locations were on another drive.

Overall - Very pleased. Everyone should be on SSD now.

I raided 2 of the 64GB's and I am not regretting it. Of course now I have had time to tweak my Windows 7 installation, its perfect for SSD's and only has a 4GB footprint

really how do you get win7 to 4GB....

I just bought the 64 bit version I only play wow at the moment so my other games will be on my old drive.

Just bought an new mobo which has the 6GB SATA connections. Will I see a dramatic boost due to being able to utilise the 6GB?

I might have to get one of these. You've got me all GASed now! Bigger drives (to house my games files and such) will have to wait until prices come down a little bit more. I'd need at least 250GB to fit all my games, and SSDs that size are a tad expensive still.
