Memory Prices Rising Steeply (I think)

gibbo mentioned this a few months ago that there would be a robound

im glad ive got all my mobo's maxed out on ram :p
 
Just ordered 16GB GSkill Ripjaw X 1600MHz for £80 delivered the other day, might as well with prices like that!

That's my mobo maxed out now :D
 
You can pick 8GB up for £40, it's not even worth thinking about, just grab it.
 
Hi there

Prices have moved upwards as I mentioned they would do a coupe of weeks back.

Its been made however worse with the economic situation causing the £ to weaken, rates have dropped from 1.64 two weeks ago down to 1.54 today, this is also making things more expensive. :(

Aye, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz kits only £44 on This Week Only, come next Wednesday that is going up by at least £10 !!

Oooo didn't see those, cancelled my Gskill order and snagged the matched 16GB kit, I prefer Corsair stuff :D

Thats insane, the start of june I payed out about £75 for my 8gb vengeance blues! Now you can get 16gb for closer to the price I payed for 8!

Might get another 8 but in black just to mix it up a little :p

I've been tracking the cost of Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB since the middle of August.

It's still cheaper now than it was then, but it was even cheaper for a while.

Yes this always happens with Ram prices, hence I'm waiting for the price increase before selling my previous ones.

I just got 24 Gb of G skill Ripjaws for £140, soon I'll be able to sell my 24 Gb of vengeance modules for around £200 (I paid £220 for those in the first place, then gambled on the current G Skill prices to see if they would be any better).

With Ram - buy whatever you want and however much you want when the prices are low, then sell when they go back up.
