I liked 1 and 2 never played 3 as it got bad reviews.

I just installed

grim fandango
syberia
longest journey

so far only played a few moments off each game but non have the same feel that broken sword did.

I liked how broken sword was like realistic settings and kinda spy stuff. I mean not too far fetched.

Scratches is another good one. I do like point and click games every now and then. Barrow hill and Alpha Polaris are also good ones. Not quite Broken Sword Genre in story but same point and clicks.

You're welcome :), Haven't updated it for awhile as I haven't played any recent good adventure titles!. Can't wait for asylum personally :)

Syberia is actually a pretty good game. I really enjoyed it when I played it a few years ago when I had surgery on my hand. Stick with it as it gets better. Probably the next best thing if you're after similar games to BS.

Its a shame BS3 didnt continue with the same 2d style as BS1 &2 :(. Don't even think i bothered to finish BS3 and I was really excited when it was announced as well.

I don't think Broken Sword 3 is anywhere near as bad as some reviews would have you believe, tbh I really enjoyed the game, the only downer was the incessant box shifting puzzles. The story was o.k and it was nice revisiting some of the old areas of the first two games and seeing rendered in a modern 3D engine.

Broken Sword 4 is more in keeping with the traditional 2d point and click style, so you might find this more suitable, but it's worth playing both imo.

Check the 'Adventure gamers' site and forum for recommendations on many other point and click style adventures.

There is the fan made broken sword 2.5 as well. But they obviously couldnt use the same voice actors so its just not the same. I gave it a try but George sounds completely different and sounds like he is just reading off a piece of paper.

Broken Sword 1 and 2 are two of my all time favourite games, notohing really comes close imo :( I need a Men In Black style brain eraser so I can enjoy them for the first time again!

Same. I tried to replay BS1 but its no good as I still know all the puzzles and its been over 10 years .

yeh i dont think any games of this genre are as good as Broken sword..however I have not played them for over 10 years maybe my memory has forgot the puzzles?

actually i cant recall bs1,2 well at all maybe id enjoy them again.

But I bet as soon as I play all my memories come back...I always remmebr the level by the docks as it was in the ps1 demo

Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templar is one of my favourite games ever. It's the funniest, most charming game I have ever played. The voice acting was brilliant, the writing was so clever and every character was memorable. Can't say enough good things about it.
