bfbc2 sold about 3 or 4 million copies on pc which in todays market is not bad .

consoles sold about 16 million copies of bfbc2

Actually, I think Blizzard saved PC Gaming.

Steam paddled up a creek for a bit whilst EA looked to other places to make money. Then Activision decided that MW2 would go big (and Steam Only, funny how not many cried foul play there?).

You can tell me Valve saved PC Gaming if Half Life 3 comes out.

What is the exact release time of the beta, i know that countdown is in UK time as it goes by your computer timezone but will it be released at 12 midnight UK time or USA? or is that the correct countdown.

BC2 demo didn't go live until it appeared on the Xbox Marketplace at around 9am UK time.

I've just ordered BF3 from Origin. I'd rather just use Steam (it'll be annoying having Origin just for the one game) but I guess it gives me options to check prices in the future on download games (my preferred way of buying, I lose discs).

and it knows it needs a big blockbuster title to do it with like Valve did with HL2.

I think EA will have a hard time pulling people away. Everything now is trying to simplify things down and Origin is going against that. I guess it comes down to the variety of titles they offer along with the deals and if that outweighs having games split across Steam and Origin. Personally it's going to take a lot to make me switch.

If you can mod HL3 then yea very possible but BF argues they will do sea, land and air warfare all to a good standard and HL engine might be iffy on one of those

I think it is a bad idea placing all the flags so close together

Should have been spread all over the map thus allowing for full exploration.

You will end up with all 64 players squeezed in the centre lol
