Ugly babies

What annoys me is when people set their profile pic to that of their sprig on Facebook. It's like as an entity they stopped existing.

My Facebook picture is me, not the kid. Oh and he looked a lot cuter as a baby than he does now. Your own baby is cute; all others are ugly. Genetics baby!

I'm one that finds most babies cute and adorable. But there was one baby i considered ugly. When Mick Jagger had a baby with a Brazillian Model. What came out i wanted to kill it with fire....from space. That was one ****ing ugly child

I'm not a "goo goo, gaa gaa" type of person when it comes to babies, but you gotta be some kind of douche to up and say "Jeez, that's one fugly baby!" either to the parents or to anyone with a vested interest in the baby itself.
What does it achieve? I'd rather tell a white lie and keep my real opinions to myself than be an outright douche bag!
You wouldn't say to your mate who is madly in love, "dude, your mrs is as ugly as a bag of a$$holes!", lol.

Courtesy is not a sin.

I know this, but at the same time I wouldn't tell my mate with an ugly gf that she is hot/fit/beautiful. :p

And Robbie, that is a cute baby.

Defo cute. :D

I've never seen a baby that didn't look, to me, a) fugly, b) stupid or c) like every other friggin' baby I've ever seen.

When people start showing photos of their newborns, though, you can't win. All they'll get, and all they're after, is "OMG SO LOVELY", "OH, SHE'S BEAUTIFUL" and whatever other crud. In those situations it's a case of "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Mind you, I think the last baby photo I commented on was my most recent niece a couple of months ago when she was just born. As usual, just another dopey looking, lead-eyed newborn.

My comment? "I'd hit it." At least it got a laugh from the father.

Hilarious

It's the lack of wrists and ankles that really weird me out...and ever since that episode of scrubs the hands kind of freak me out too.

Suppose you had to be there :p

I always get told off my by my lady as I truly do not like any children. I cannot see anything cute in any of them. I am not rude but I will also not allow them to use up any of my time.

I still would not say a baby is ugly to their owners face though, that's a little rude. I just avoid the subject...

People who try and force their kids on me annoy more than their children though.

Don't worry. One day you may have kids and understand (Please don't tho)

In this sort of case I usually say "Well it's not the most cute thing on the planet however at least it doesn't look like <insert Parents name here> which is fortunate"

Babies: SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Seems like one of those situations! In all honesty, I guess you just have to know me in real life to understand how it would come across. I tend to throw around highly offensive or offbeat things in a flippant/completely innocent manner that makes it easier to laugh.

I guess it's all contextual and, as I've mentioned already, said father shares my sense of humour (in fact, he goes further into actually trying to get people seriously wound up territory when he gets going). My point is, rather than say "Yeah, it's a baby. Looks like the rest. What of it?", I gave him a laugh rather than join in the cooing, which would be disingenuous.

I guess I didn't realise that a thread entitled "Ugly babies" would have such a number of parents with their fingers on the indignant switch lest anyone say something potentially inappropriate about a child. :p

I have had this conversation with my wife loads of times, she always says that baby's are cute no matter what.

Unfortunately i usually say what i see, i actually said that one friends baby was "interesting looking" and that another friends baby looked like its grandad.

there are no baby's that are cute when first born, they all look like little aliens or those wierd birds that have dropped out of a nest.

Our own kids were no different either, they were a bit strange looking when born.

These people who show this pictures that are clearly "enhanced or shopped" are just deluded, they just need to accept that their baby's a bit strange looking but hopefully will grow into a cute kid and then an attractive adult, if not then unlucky.
