Ugly babies

I'm almost 22 and I can't smile for photos. That's not to say I can't smile, I just can't fake them, the best I can do is a vague smirk.

Lol, I'm similar in that my forced photo smile always looks silly yet when I tone it down I just look grumpy.

Anyway here is my new baby, I can rely on OcUK to be brutally honest as to whether this is an alien or a cherub, since my FB page is of course loaded with 'gorgeous', 'cute', 'adorable' comments:

Poor little girl is two weeks old and suffering with wind quite a lot at the moment :(.

Also I loved this 'wtf are you doing' look!

Wow. You're well adjusted.

Quite right! :D ;)

Mind you, the comment was left mainly because he has the same kind of wind-up sense of humour. I'd maybe stop just shy of posting something like that on a different family member's photo.

Still, yeah, I don't find babies in any way cute, lovable or whatever. Screaming little bags of wrinkly mucus.

First pic is cute.

2nd not so much, but that's due to the weird face she is pulling.

Overall cute baby, congratulations.

I'm not a "goo goo, gaa gaa" type of person when it comes to babies, but you gotta be some kind of douche to up and say "Jeez, that's one fugly baby!" either to the parents or to anyone with a vested interest in the baby itself.
What does it achieve? I'd rather tell a white lie and keep my real opinions to myself than be an outright douche bag!
You wouldn't say to your mate who is madly in love, "dude, your mrs is as ugly as a bag of a$$holes!", lol.

Courtesy is not a sin.

Robbie G, for the record, that's one gorgeous little girl ya got there fella. :)

I think generally most babies look cute once they've "unravelled" a bit. I mean... stuff yourself in a tight space for 9months and see how you look when you come out :p most of us complain how bad we look in the mornings getting out ofbed let alone that length of time.

It's a fair cop. Babies are generally a bit crumpled for a few weeks!

Honest opinion, definately cute.

Though this ugly baby phenomenon is very real, I've experienced it first hand. My impression beforehand was that I would naturally see my child as instantly being the most beautiful thing ever. This however was not the case for either of us, we've both since admitted our initial reaction was along the lines of errm....... :D

Fortunately enough it turned out she was merely bloated as a result of being very late and a cute baby did infact lie underneath (of course I have many pictures to verify this :p), those first few weeks were a little worrying though :D.

I dunno I think my little man is a cute baby! Some pics - from 1 month to 6 months (which is how old he is now) ... his name's Jenson.

Newborn in the Delivery Suite (apparantly looking like Jamie Oliver to my Mum and Dad at the time though I didn't / don't see it myself lol)

Babies definitely start scrumpled, some have that "look a bit like an old man" stage, then they become cuter and cuter as they grow longer hair.

Heres my chunk:
