Dissertation title.

I don't think I want to do about project failure, for an assignment in second year I had to write about the failure of the Channel Tunnel project, It was around 2500 words and I found it quite hard to be honest.

Efour2, is that your way of saying it's a crap thing to do a dissertation on or are you being genuine? My detectors are offline.

I'm going to echo others here on the word count, it really won't be an issue once you get full swing into it.

I was given an assignment on someone I had never heard of with no books/magazines on this person and very very little information online. Still managed 2.5k words.

Social media, business.

Is that not a topic?

Well, yeah, but you have to narrow it down.

Have you not been given any guidance regarding the dissertation?

I don't think anyone will be able to pick it for you either, you have to want to do it yourself; it's hard, probably the hardest part of the dissertation.

Exploiting the social media age - A look into business utilisation of this new technology.

Could go back and explore previous ways of doing it historically from way back (0AD perhaps, or where evidence exists) up until recent 2000 say and how companies are becoming to utilise it, and to what benefit.

Social mediums are obviously quite a hot topic at the moment, if I was doing one I would most likely base it around that to some degree.

I would sit down with a pen/paper (not a PC) and map out everything that you like in bullet points. By this I mean from current news events, theories you've learned, personal intrests / hobbies. Then sit down and look at them for a bit and see if you can come up with something unique and something that you'll have motivation to finish.
