Cannot get enough of the stuff.

I love burnt toast with a thick layer of marmite on it, topped with some cheddar cheese.

Because it's fantastic flavour combination with some things.
Slathered in butter, peanut butter and bovril for one.

Odd combo but it works, although arteries must squeal in pain.

Yep.
It's getting the balance right though slightly black outside and crispy all the way through. Without being total charcoal. Works best with brown open crumb (is that the right word, large air holes in it), rather than commercial white bread which is dense and small air holes.

Also dad prefers toast warm, I like the toast cold.
