BF3 support is getting hammered. I bet the support guys are getting annoyed by all us "where is my early access beta key" guys.

Browser - Filters +5 spaces, Euro only, Refresh list!
 
Bit of a shambles with the keys, although I got mine & a spare which I gave away.

I half expected not to receive mine at all.

Anyway, the game installed, had real issues getting into a server to start with, still do and hopefully the `surprise` from zh1nt0 will be Caspian Border unlocked for beta.

Auto settings set me to Ultra, but I ran Fraps to capture some half-size gameplay video in the 15 mins I had to play earlier.

Converted & uploaded to our XSGamerMedia channel on YouTube.

(Excuse the nooby play as I couldn't remember the key bindings & died a lot - plus Frap'sing halves your framerate at times :( )

Well the game gave me a bsod. All I get now is nasty seconds-long pauses and stuttering in both the sound and video. Spawning to people takes forever, people are soaking up bullets like sponges again, the graphics are all glitching out, flashes on my screen constantly, bits of scenery flashing. Broken tbh.

They better pull their finger out... not sure how much they can really do in 3 weeks though tbh
 
People who bought MOH on Steam, you do realise you won't get emailed the key? It appears under the MOH CD Key window on Steam

I get the flickering.

The game we are playing is how it will ship if you buy retail. There's only four weeks until the game is out, so it must have gone gold by now to allow enough time to press the discs. Especially at this time of year, when everyone and his dog is releasing a game.

All the beta is for is server testing and day one patch.

Maybe people who by a digital copy will get updates and bug fixes included in their initial download, but I can't see hard copies being any better than what we are playing. Unless the beta is an older build of course.
 
Impressions after 1 hour of play:

* Web interface rocks, though obviously servers are overwhelmed atm.
* In game settings changing is super annoying. Let us do it through the web interface ala Quake Live.
* Game feels like BFBC2 in hardcore more (a bad thing in my book).
* Hit reg feels extremely dodgy but possibly just down to the server I was on or lack of experience with the game.
* Destructible terrain is nerfed to hell and not back. Massive shame.

This will no doubt change somewhat after enough time to get into it properly but it kind of sums up my first impressions in the hour I played before going to the pub.
 
Who doesn't like the game then? I saw some people saying they didn't like it "camping and proning is rewarded" "this is just a BC2 DLC"
