EA 'Support' is quite frankly the biggest crock o' I have EVER witnessed.

Get 2 follow up emails showing a 'Chat Transcript' I was NEVER part of saying that i was unavailable.

Even if I spam a load of random text it says that ID is taken. Just _WOW_

Some encouraging news so far:)

1GB 5850
4GB Ram

Having been told to turn down some settings for high/ultra, this is what I did:

1) shadow : low
2) AA options off

Although vram still goes around 990MB; just below the limit, now I can play on high/ultra and getting anywhere from 38-60FPS in operation metro.

1920x1080p res

Metro is fine for me aswell but Caspian however is a completely different story :D

Runs at 20FPS on ultra on my athon 64 X2 @2.2Ghz with a HD6870 (ment to upgrade when i bought the GPU never got around to it maybe time too:P)

very playable tho even on Ultra

only problem is having some weird sound glitches using a X-Fi Titanium - Fatal1ty tried updating drivers dunno whats causing it:/

Most likely :p

It's definitely got a learning curve regarding aim/recoil compared to bc2 (not that i like comparing it to bc2) some people probably aren't giving it enough of a chance

Took me two rounds of constant deaths and occasional kills (mostly team kills for that matter) to get used to the new model but now I'm doing just fine with constant positive K:D and plenty of points every round.

I love the emphasis on the teamplay but the game is not without flaws.

Besides the technical ones, e.g. flickering textures, screwed up interface when gaming at 2560x1440 (have to play at 1920x1080 and it ain't pretty on my screen, trust me), low fps issues (even though the average fps is probably in the high-40s, the game feels sluggish at times), game menu that you cannot access unless you're currently spawned (sic!), Battlelog which is the most pointless of all the ideas (my browser has usually 20 tabs open at once, that takes some 0.5GB RAM and a few seconds to load them all), there are some in-game issues that I have to analyse more to know if they will be a problem in the future. Origin is playing up too sometimes but I think most of the issues are there to be solved in the future.

I'm quite happy with the game and will definitely not cancel my pre-order. :)

I need another 6950 though, or better yet, a 7950, but that will take some time.

The last 10 pages of this thread are like Groundhog Day.

The same questions, problems, moans, gripes over and over again.

I swear some people must have been on Mars for the last few days with some of the questions asked. Someone else will be asking if they have to actually play the game themselves or do EA or DICE come around their house to do it for them.

Its the same with every long thread, sometimes I wonder why the OP doesn't collate the knowledge in the first post saving everyone a lot of hastle.
