Yeah big thread on the forums about them, as soon as I took off like a rocket I knew I was in for bad things, it needed to be BF2 style choppers and not the dumbed down mess they are now, they have just ported over console style flying mechanics from BC2 but somehow made them worse, not fun to fly at all.
 
As an ArmA2 player i despise the choppers in BF, though i havnt tried the jets. Cant wait to try CB but have not had the chance yet. Enjoying playing metro a fair bit. But if a team works together (rare) they will wipe the opposition. Im really looking for a TS3 clan with no obligations i can drop in a play with. Anyone know some?

That said the game doesnt really feel a cut above BC2 or MOH though it definatly is an improvement. I juyst wish they picked a new MCOM sound, i mean really? cmon i hate that noise!
 
Well that sucks. I preloaded the open beta 2 days ago via torrent, tried to replace the files in origin games, and it just deletes them and forces a fresh download.

Why can't things just be simple ey?
 
Is there a way to simple start the game to change the settings or you have to connect to a server everytime you want to change something? Its taking ages to connect to server, keep getting error messages, the server is full or map is changing even though that server is not full according to the info.

This browser server search is a total mess.
 
God I hate the stupid EA download thing. I thought it entered the wrong login details at first as it was showing I only had bf2142 and bf2 special edition and swtor (unreleased) to download on origin which is strange as I had other EA stuff. So i log into ea.com with the same details and that shows ONLY bfbc2 and mirrors edge (both games I got through steam). So 1 account, showing 2 different sets of games based on how I access the account.

My brother downloaded the game first with do not delete installer specifically ticked, and origin goes and deletes the installer after it installed on his machine, forcing me to redownload. I go to click get it now and agree to the stupid agreements... nothing happens, just goes back to origin with nothing happening.

So far this just reinforces the notion that EA have no clue when it comes to downloaders. They splinter their services by using 1 EA account over multiple things, with each thing showing different stuff. I would choose steam over origin any day.

If this rubbish continues it looks like I'll be spending my time on Diablo3 and SWTOR instead of BF3.
 
just join friends or quick match if you cant join after 30 secs try again it simple as that.

down bottom left a box will say join now you join and wait dending how fast your net and pc is it may take a little while when joining and screen may be black for few secs.
 
Finally finished downloading on my 2mb connection :) i have selected the europe region and go for a quick game but keep getting "failed to ping closest servers" argggg

Also if i when i finally get the game to load am i going to have to leave the server straight away if i change my in game settings for them to take effect?

Well, i've played the Alpha, didnt need to ask anyone for anything and that was when there was far fewer people involved so less info floating about, i just spent a moment to find out for myself. Then the beta on Tues morning... same thing.

Its an attitude thing, some people just cant be bothered to make an effort to look for the answers for themselves. Its down to pure lazyness and then their own stupidity when they make false claims about something that annoys them, simply because they're too ignorant and lazy to check their facts.

Why should it be someone elses responsibility for telling you these things, they're not babysitters or your personal carers. Its a discussion thread, but people use it like its their personal butler, too lazy to look for themselves. This thread would be half the size if some people made an effort to look.

Too many people want everything put on a platter and handed to them, because they're too damn lazy to bother looking for the information themselves. Its not the cure for cancer, the answers to the majority of questions asked page after page are easily found... IF you make an effort.

Its not specifically Origin I have a problem with tho its not the greatest system IMO, there is absolutely no good reason for it not to be on steam and I really don't need to clutter up my PC with a different download client, that also has to be running when your playing, from every different publisher.

What, you mean you no longer have access to the servers your not entitled to have access to, and never were entitled to have access to?
Shocking! :o

Cant be too long before we have someone complaining that it isnt the full game and doesnt play on their casio calculator watch in 1080p on Ultra. :rolleyes:
