Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

I'm a sad panda, the game looks lovely and I managed to get in to the CB map without too much effort, but my GPU doesn't half chug, even on automatic settings, I reckon it'll be a fair few months before I'm gaming away happily on BF3 yet :(
 
Been trying for hours now and still haven't had a game.no luck with server browser or quick match, also unable to join friends.Have tried ff, google chrome and ie9, I have also changed firewall settings and still no whiff of a match as every server says full or I am left waiting to join server for an hour or two :(

When you highlight a server, just press enter. That way it is quicker than trying to find that menu to join on the right.

Even if you can't enter server, atleast pressing enter on it makes the process much more quicker
 
Apparently new server pass for caspian is shoppingcartsareagoodride

BTW how do you que for servers or do you just have to keep spamming connect for hours on end?
 
They still haven't unlocked the servers? Jeez...

I've got a feeling I'm gonna be sticking with BC2 when this comes out... I'll wait til my new CPU gets here tomorrow to make my final judgement but I'm really not feeling it at all. Went back to BC2 today and was in my element, it just feels nicer to play.

Have you managed to get a taste of caspian border? That will definitely change your opinion about BF3 :cool:

You wait until the server empties and reads 0/64. Then you join spam and you'll get in eventually. It takes a few minutes to keep serving for the 0/64 servers and join, not hours.

download google crome ( if u dont have it allready)

open up the battleblog server browser and search from caspian border maps

click join server
when the server password pops up..

***IMPORTANT***

right click the page and click view elements
when it pops up click the *CONSOLE* button
then type in this code

launcher.verifyPassword = function(game, gameServerGuid, plaintextPassword, callback) { callback(true); }


You can do this for all servers just leave the console open and click on the servers to join and hit submit, no need to enter a password.

I had a couple of games but my CPU can't hack it at the moment. Seemed alright, but it's more the 'feel' of shooting and moving that's putting me off, as well as the way 2 shots kill everyone... you're left with pretty much no chance of getting away and medpacks become pointless.
 
I can't seem to get it to work :( If I try to join a quick match it just sits at 'joining server' and same with the browser...

Also if i press alt enter it doesnt go full screen :( and i get a windows beep.

any ideas?

On this point I agree with you definitely

It's like the moment you are spotted by the enemy, you player gets killed.

Heck even after being spotted by the enemy, I tried to move behind wall, but my player got killed in the process lol

They should implement CS Source gameplay. :D I just love it

Are you sure you aren't getting mouse lag?
