Yes this makes sense a suddent 10/20FPS drop, it feels like a Ram problem but could be this I suppose?

Lower your shadows to medium, turn HBAO off too.....HBAO even dropped fps by 10-20 in BFBC2 on high end cards.

Why are some people here only using 8xAF? whack it to 16x, it uses hardly any vram.

Motion Blur is always off for me in every fps i personally do not see the point of it.

a few testing issues have arisen:

1) sometimes when i died my person full beneath the map

2) in some places when i went prone i was half under the map, the grass was half way up the screen

3) some places you see the jumping over animation, but not jumping over it

4) the scope flare at all angles, even when behind

5) the guy i was shooting just disappeared

6) got caught on a rock and the player was just vibrating up and down until i got shot

7) the game crashed 3 times in the 4 hours i was playing

these are just a few issues i found - i understand this is a beta - im not complaining - just reporting my findings

For those of you using stereo headphones make sure to change audio settings to headphones and enable stereo sound, makes it sound much better.

Those are very good fps for such a demanding map

1 month to go and they are still in Beta?

Even releasing a beta when they did the alpha is a bit close....

Report these on the official forums? I'm sure if any of those points are new to developers it'll help, this is why its beta

Just finished a couple of games now, awesome. Can't be bothered to play metro anymore, it's caspian or nothing for me now.

Not sure if it depends on the server, but first and second one I was on disconnected after one round, third server, just let you play again and again .

I know Im just being picky lol I noticed the game appear less smooth when the frame rate hit 45, but still its OK for now. You have a single 5850 right? OCUK have one for £160. Might be worth getting it so you can crossfire, better than spending £300 on a 6870 anyhow

I've just played 2 rounds of CB, didn't get booted at the end of the round either.

Used the spamming method described earlier.

All I can say is I need more power!! My GTX 470 OC to 750 with an i7 920 and 6GB Ram just ain't cutting it on the same graphics settings as Metro.

It's a bit easy to take out a tank, 1 shot from RPG and it's down.

Obviously I never got near a chopper or a jet, but got in a tank and APC and again I found it rather easy to take out tanks. Shooting a chooper down with an APC is easy as well, much easier than BFBC2 or BF2. I think the vehicles need beefing up a bit to be honest otherwise nobody will use them for anything other than transport and then it's not a Battlefield game really.

U need google chroom to use it.
Join on of those server when its asking for password.
Press ctrl, shift, J and type this code

launcher.verifyPassword = function(game, gameServerGuid, plaintextPassword, callback) { callback(true); }

and hit Enter.

Now u can press submit without password and it works.
Have fun.
