Thing is, they're making a lot of silly mistakes, they try tell people everything will be okay as if they are infallable but that isn't the case. But I expect that, I respect people who can admit mistake.
This isn't related to just this issue today, just, everything.

Edit: I should reitterate that this will reflect on their performance on launch and how much they have the foresight to plan ahead, which the past has shown they usually leave things until it's overdue +2hrs then tell the community!
Sure we are not paying yet, we will be soon.

I agree with swtor making some silly mistakes. One of the ones I find annoying is that at first they said they wouldn't be at the eurogamer expo, but then they decided they would be and not only that but at the expo you could give your name to them and by the sounds of it they would put you on a list to get beta access, if I had known about that or if they had said from the start they would be at eurogamer expo I would have made time for it.

The management of the beta as a whole has been quite bad IMO, if you compare it with blizzard and diablo 3 which took a minimal approach which although slightly annoying it doesn't create anywhere near as much confussion as swtor has with there multiple different types of beta access (full beta player, weekend beta, guild beta), and invites going to some areas but not others etc..

In away I'm glad I didn't get one(this weekend only)I'm away all weekend and wouldn't be able to play at all.

but did get excited when I got the emails at first.

Hope not true as I didnt get the emails :(
 
Got my invite last night, the install is a whopping 30GB, even if I leave my pc downloading overnight that might be pushing it.

Is there a server you are all playing on?

Jammy Swine... not many of us have it tbh mate!

30GB isn't so bad, fortunately I get a cool 5.96MB/sec!
 
I'm sure the launcher will have a server status view on it - dont know about any restrictions - but to reiterate... not many of us have access mate - you are one of a few!

Ah was just gonna ask about that but saw your post. I had an email yesterday saying something about thanks for trying the beta, now would I like to pre-order (something I did ages ago) and haven't got early access as yet either - I was wondering what the hell was going on.

I had the same email, they must have messed up, don't worry about it.
 
I'm not sure if I'll join the beta if invited. I always hate redoing early levels on characters I've done in beta.

Saying that though, if I get an invite of course I'll bloody join. no willpower :D
