Just trying to sort my controls out because I have a weird hybrid of pes / fifa and... I can't sprint when defending? wut?

Im really confused as I keep reading conflicting reports here - does competitive FUT not force tactical defending? Or does it allow both if you are playing friendlies etc?

Only played 1 game vs CPU which ended in a disconnect last night...

Nope, my VP is a totally different skin colour to how he should be. Seems to be a common problem as there are lots of people on the web complaining about it. He was fine in Fifa 11 so hopefully it'll be something they fix soon with a patch. I deleted my game face file and went back to a generic face until it gets sorted out.
 
YEah think I did, gonna do an exhibitoin match v afc wimbledon on amateur to figure out what on earth I am supposed to be doing :p
 
Picked up my SE copy for PS3 this afternoon from Tesco.

Paid a visit this morning but the numpties on shift didn't have a clue about the SE edition.

Got it now anyway.

Hahah I was a bit like that last night and ended up winning 3-1 after some inspired subs!

I cannot cross for toffee and it's about the only way I'm making chances, though lobbed through-ball or early cross works better than a normal cross.
 
Just got it on ps3 :D

Love the defensive changes again, won my first 2 online games as Saints 1-0 from just trying to play like them in real life which is nice

No idea what I'm doing with Ultimate team though :s

Indeed, I would imagine that it uses Tactical Defending, like the other ranked online modes. Either way I'm not sure if I'm going to pick this up now, I didn't enjoy the demo very much and 11 started to feel quite stale near the end. This might be the year where I take a rare break from football games, except for FM12.
 
Some really good detail been put into FIFA12, running down the wing with Bellamy in UT (like his 9th game in a row) and he pulls up with hamstring mid sprint, and signals to be subbed. haha
