I enjoy the game simply because it's so atmospheric, pretty and sounds simply amazing but I have to admit I'm pretty terrible. Get picked off all the time and never see who did it!

Sorry if this has all been said already. Can't be bothered to trawl through the beast that this thread has become.

I played the alpha and thought this was quite stable. Been playing the beta a little and it seems they've made the game worse or buggy. I don't recall the scope randomly stopping from working. Falling through the floor when going prone. Lots of screen flickers and graphics just going plain crazy. I've noticed it doing the same things on the xbox and pc version as well.

What have you done dice?

Sorry for digging up a post a few pages back, just reading back through some of this thread.

I have also had the same issues with my 5970. on Ultra (and in some cases on High also) in single monitor mode it is practically unplayable. Fraps tells me I am hitting 60+ fps, however every 3-4 seconds it pauses, then continues, then pauses again.

I have a friend with a considerably slower GPU card, but with more memory (single GPU) and it runs absolutely fine, maxed out to the hilt.

I guess this is typical of the GFX card not having enough memory, and the 5970 being a dual GPU Crossfire card doesn't have enough memory for each GPU to manage the textures in high?

Stick the game to Medium and it runs perfectly, or stick it on low and I can run Eyefinity (5760 x 1200) no problem (well, 35-40fps)...

Frustrating, but I guess that is the limitations of the memory on the 5970 per GPU?
 
guys am i imagining things? I'm pretty sure your own team mates are supposed to have blue arrows above their heads or am I wrong? I didn't see them at all last night. Another thing, I can no longer mark people! No orange arrow appears above peoples heads =/

I got this the last time I played. Think I will just wait for the full game, I know its only a Beta but for all its bugs its unplayable for me, plus I despise rush.

I managed to play 1 round before they killed off the Casp servers,And to be honest i was not all that impressed,Could not get a Jet or chopper because of the long lines of people waiting for one,then the maps so huge that it takes forever to get somewhere especially if theres no jeep so your running around the map...Then theres people lying down camping in the bushes.

Why the hell they password protected the casp server i dont know,how are we soppose to test it without hunting down passwords!

I know its a BETA,But from what ive seen so far i think the game is overyhyped.

You're right, as my 5870 runs it on Ultra on it's own with AA, and me and my brother were pretty much questioning how that is even possible, so something is wrong with my 5970, and it's not the first time i've had problems with it tbh, i might as well take it out of my system, buy another 5870 if i can, and crossfire them up.
