Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Mine front plate is 520x84. Perfect fit in my opinion.

Well good news and bad news.

Good news.
The brakes are completely sorted now, ABS pump had an air lock, and the rounded off bolt in the front nearside disc was an easy removal.

Bad news.
Turns out 8 months of going up and down the multi-story at work has ruined what was a brand new exhaust when i got the car. Decat>manifold connector is bent which has caused the fittings to come loose, hence why i heard it blowing for the past 4-5 months. Last month or so its started to blow really bad, just found out why, the centre box has a large crack in it aswell. So im going to get the exhaust welded up, because obviously warranty won't cover it. Also while the exhaust is off i've got the garage to install the harness spreader plates on the transmission tunnel.

Just need to decide whether to higher the car, so it doesn't scrape anymore on the multi-story, or park a mile away and walk :p

Hopefully get the car back thursday :D

Meh I would higher it a tad, espically if its your daily. Not going to make any difference to the handling, just the 'lowz' look.

Reading Error Codes

What's the story with reading error codes on these?

Yesterday the ABS and ESP warning lights came on, along with the service light... and today it's all back to normal. The previous owner did infact warn me of it randomly doing this.
Given that the brakes still worked, and it was both ABS and ESP, I would guess that it's going to be a wheel speed sensor intermittently failing... but obviously I don't want to just go replacing sensors at random!

I've been told that there's a diagnosis port under the Ash Tray / Cup Holder, but I imagine I'll need some sort of interface/adaptor box to go between my laptop and the port, and then software for my laptop.

Yeah it's exactly where you say it is. I bought a cheap thing off eBay which you plug in, and then it's USB to your laptop. The software is shockingly bad, and it took a lot of faffing to get it working, but in the end I managed to find out what I needed.

RSTuners also read codes so that could be an option if you haven't already remapped your car.

Ooh, sort out the error codes and get a remap for free... I like the sound of that!

Just had a look at the Fastchip.nl website and Clio Mk2 isn't listed. http://www.fastchip.nl/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=17&Itemid=26
I think I'll send them an email then...

The MK2 does work, but I heard the guy that runs it fell out with CS.net and doesn't support it anymore?

I also saw mention of people not being able to find the MK2 maps?

Ah right. There are some ****s on ClioSport, but the same is true with every forum!

I'll send him an email, though given present economic circumstances I'd be surprised if he is turning away business!

Got a reply. Still supports the 182 (Mk2), just that now for getting the calibration files you need to email him ECU details (screenshot) when connected through RSTuner. I imagine that way he can make sure you're uploading the right file for your ECU version.

If your looking to buy one westy and be interested in passing it on afterwords let me know I may be very interested. :)
TBH I imagine I'll keep it, as knowing my luck the day I sold it I'd get another error light come on!
