*** Show us your Dogs ***

My greyhound, Owen. He's a retired racer (Inishowen Boss) and was actually quite good at it, retiring at 4 1/2. Now he's a big silly lazy hound :)

He's already a big dog.

For those of you who own big dogs, do these dogs not do damage to the internals of your property and to furniture?

My dog is quite big, for a staffy anyway, but he has never damaged anything in the house apart a small bit of skirting board when he was still under a year old and we had left him for slightly longer than normal.

It helps that he is lazy and just sleeps when we are not there.

Just after we got Meg, my mum left her for around 20 mins while she went to the shop to pay the papers.

She got back and Meg had knocked over all the dining chairs, pulled my mum's ironing basket onto the floor and weed on the clothes, pulled the bag out of the bin and scattered rubbish everywhere, managed to knock a dozen eggs from the kitchen counter onto the floor, and was in the process of eating one of my mum's lamps when she got back from the paper shop.

Needless to say mum borrowed a cage for a while to leave her in if we ever went out without her.

She's MUCH better now - is fine to be left without any mishaps.

Max has only ever chewed one pair of shoes and they were an Ex's as a pup.

Apart from that nothing, as long as you don't plan on having crystal vases on pedestals next to the doors of your house I'm sure it will be ok.

Me and my girlfriend met a really nice lady yesterday outside of our local Costa with a male Giant Schnauzer (brick **** house), beautiful breed of dog we both absolutely loved him.

Not really mate, we have had new foundland dogs for years now and have never had any problems with damage. If you count the odd glass or drink knocked off the cofee table by there tail's then i guess that is the only form of damage to property.
