All iPhone 5 speculation/rumours/wants thread

I'd like to say both..

Its certainly completely lock and key but to be honest the iPhone is now overdue for a wider screen.

There is some evidence on this in the iPhoto beta which keeps it alive for me..

I think if Apple did release an iPhone 5 then it would make for an amazing event producing

iPhone 5
iPhone 4S
Lion 10.7.2
iOS5
iCloud
iTunes Match
iPods
Probably other software updates

So perhaps it will only be the 4S whatever it becomes.
 
I have a bad feeling it will be just a iPhone 4S, which I will still purchase.

Hope I am wrong though we we see an iPhone 5.
 
Well if it's true that Sprint (US carrier) have placed a $20 billion, yeah you read that correctly billion, for 30 million handsets and there is no proper Iphone 5 with major upgrades then they are gonna be ******

That is over the next 4 years though, so it doesn't just cover this iPhone.
 
It may be over 4 years but if they don't make a significant impact and recoup some of their outlay in year one, and Android handsets continue the growth they have been experiencing then poor old Sprint will just be sitting there waiting, with no profit and lots of unsold handsets.

Not to mention the downturn in the global economy and the average folk in the street facing increasing everyday living costs, premium phones may become a low priority on people lists.

I'd hate to see them fail since competition can only be a good thing

I wouldn't worry too much!
 
I'm on a budget at the moment, so if it's just a slight upgrade i may get the iPhone 4, presuming when the new iPhone comes out it will force a drop price of the iPhone 4?!
 
4 and 4S and 5

...but most likely as Robbo said, 4 or 4S, plus a 5. There has to be a 5, it just doesn't make sense otherwise.
