Downloaded the demo to give this a go and ultimately got well and truly ****** off at knowing none of the controls, failing to understand the tutorials and being unable to comprehend why Olympic Marseilles were not only faster with and without the ball but also more skill full than the all conquering Barcelona that I was controlling :mad:

I used to be good at the old PES games on the PS2 as well :(

Thumb hurts now as well :o
 
I've not been able to play any ranked UT for a few hours now. I keep getting "there was an error creating your game session please try again" :(

I've currently got 8k coins saved, unsure as to whether I'll just buy contracts and keep this cheapo Serie A side or try and create a new team. They should make it a little easier for us folk that cbf spending lots of cash. :p

My current squad, it has a surprising amount of pace, especially with Bastos and Valbuena on the wings. Absolutely no idea why the PSG players are missing their badges on their cards. Shopping for a better left and right back though I think I'll need to go French as opposed to French Ligue seeing as I have the best ones for me already. Don't really rate Fanni he's fast but nothing else, can't defend, can't pass particularly well and doesn't fit in with my style.

Just looked at Fanni's stats and he seems alright, thing is when I tried him he didn't seem very good. :confused:

Just spent my last 70k coins on packs. Best player I got was Evra which is worth around 25k. Will probably make around 50-70k from all the other players I got from the packs.

Hoping to just land someone big like Xavi or Messi. I'd sell them on for cheap just to try and lower the prices of these players. I've noticed that Xavi is slowly going down in price because no one is buying him at 200k when in 11 is was around 40k.

Just like last year, Xavi will hit 30Knat years end, but don't forget he's rare, 92 rated and very good, demand for something like that in the current market isn't high, but it's doable at 150k-200k as someone may pay that in the end, until there are more of him around.
 
Ok so this may sound like a bit of a n00b question but this is the first time i have really played ultimate team so im a little bit confused with the process you guys use, i understand the chemistry part of it but i dont get the contracts on the players.

So players have a number of games/contracts on them before you cant use him again right? So in the early stages is it better to run down the contract and hope you win games or do you sell the good players to get money to buy more packs? Do you keep the silver/gold players till later on or do you use them to get your rating up? What do you guys do?

If im understanding what you're saying, all you need to do is buy contracts for your players. No need to sell players when their contract runs out. (Unless you have 0 cash I guess)
 
I think what a lot of people do is buy players for the 300 coins mark (Gold) and then discard them for 300 coins when their contracts run out. You earn around 400 coins a game, plus any trophy wins, so you can slowly accumulate coins that way.

Easiest way to earn money is try and spot a bargain player and sell for more - rinse and repeat.

Buying packs can earn you some decent coins, but you really need to get a big name player to make a massive profit.

/edit: I'd only use contracts on players that are worth keeping / worth more than discard value. Don't waste contracts on players that you can easily replace for less than the cost of player + contract. Obviously use contracts on decent players!
 
I don't think I've seen so much hatred for a game on it's release weekend :D

People continue to moan about it but are still playing it? Stop playing it, play another game mode, level your pro up, play H2H, career mode don't touch FUT if you're worried about it glitching/disconnecting.

These issues (certainly the glitch where the other player can control your team) were in 11, EA rectified them. If your complaining of the other team making the AI control their defense, beat them at their own game? I suspect a lot of people are losing and blaming this regardless mind.
Sick of not being able to get on the FUT web app? Don't try, again it won't be fixed until EA have done something.

I've created my FUT team but won't play any games till they've release a patch. I'll just play H2H and VP.

It's boring seeing people constantly repeat themselves with the problems and people who actually post something good, it gets lost in the thread.
 
If people use exploits against me I just keep on playing anyway, it's not as if every single player uses them, or even a high amount. In fact I don't think I've come across anyone using the AI to defend on PS3, or at least if they have then I haven't even noticed. Some people just enjoy complaining for the sake of it.

The AI defending is in H2H as well, and now it seems we have gone back to Fifa 10 with the opponent controlling your team, maybe it is boring to you as you love the game so much, but people are allowed to state their feelings are they not?

Why should I play them at their own game and make the AI defend, it takes away more than half of the game and I have no interest in doing so, I buy Fifa as my main online game for the year, yet you tell us we should play career LOL...as it is then I am basically near enough paying for a online game yet 60% of the time playing against the CPU online, surely even you can see why that is wrong.

The control other team glitch was never on PS3, it was rife on 360 :) so yeah if this goes wild then nearly everyone will be using it.

I'm not defending the game. EA are morons for releasing it in this state.

But people repeating themselves constantly about the problems? What's the point? They've been posted already. People moan an then play it anyway and shock horror the problem occurs again! Just wait for a fix
