Nexus Prime

The Nexus one was the last dev phone you could buy directly from Google?

We can look forward to CPW trying a bit of profiteering this time round :D

I think nearly all Android users are praying the Nexus Prime comes out with some seriously killer specs so Google finally have a one size fits all Android device. The Nexus S wasn't quite good enough for that IMO.

Definitely applies to me. Even if it were no better spec wise than the SGS2 I'd have to go for it, with my contract coming up for renewal soon etc.

Hard to say at the moment, the iP5 will be more than good enough but it's not going to have industry leading specs I imagine. Then again, I'd rather have a 'retina' screen at a high(er) res than a SAMOLED personally.

That's assuming there is even an iP5, it's all a bit up in the air at the moment...

I really love the SAMOLED screens, really hope prime has 720p then you can best of both worlds apart from bit of messed up smaller text but hey cant have everything I guess.

Other hardware wise I really dont see a huge need for anything great for both iOS or Android. iOS5 works perfectly fine on an ip4 so if u have a dual core should be flying. And Android seems to be great on SGS II cant see it getting much faster and the ICS clip I saw seemed to be great on a Nexus S. Personally think a higher res screen and better battery would be key for both phones at this moment in time.

I have the nexus s when my contact runs out the next nexus will prob be out . I love android and stock vanilla android pure google

First picture of the Nexus Prime (text looks sharp enough to me)

4.6" screen and no hardware buttons. (edit: which will reduce screen real estate back to ~4.3"?)

It better come with the 32nm Exynos (and new 1/2.3" camera sensor)

I guess Samsung will be rubbing their hands together after seeing what Apple have put out nothing major really, this could be my next phone as the 4s holds no interest to me.

Have to say I agree. I kind of hoped the next iPhone would be something special, looks like it brings nothing new to the party against the current android phones, and will get beaten painfully by the NP if the spec is as good as rumours suggest (IF!).
