Just to point out, it is HIGHLY unlikely that netcode issues are 'Beta bugs'. It's typical battlefield netcode really.

What are people's issues with origin? I'm genuinely interested. I've had no problems at all, install and playing are painless. What's going wrong for everyone else?

Origin is just another DRM, you have to logon before you can play SP/MP is just an annoyance than anything.

Thats not my issue with it.

I hate Origin because it is a ****e version of Steam. I don't like being forced to use a knockoff version of something I already own.
As it stands Origin is basically Steam but with all the good bits taken away.

Fingerscrossed the rumours are true but I cant see it being so as that would kill Origin.
So glad I stuck to my guns and haven't pre-ordered yet. If its out on Steam I'll buy it instantly. If not....then its still up in the air.

Not just beta bugs, but bugs that have been confirmed by Dice to be fixed in the final release?

And then using these bugs to justify "why you cant buy BF3..."???

That I can't comment on but the term new in my opinion is doubtful, just an updated version to be called 'new'

I've pre ordered it. I would imagine the beta we are playing is an old build which has been patched significantly since.

That's fine but the minute you try and join a server it loads Origin then launches BF3.

I don't mind using Origin though, just wish it would stop asking me to accept the same friends requests over and over again.

Also Raven, I suggest you keep yourself up to date with the list of reported/fixed bugs before using them as an excuse to not buy BF3.

Not a great fan of origin but i can deal with it, however if above rumour is true and you can activate your origin key on steam when the game is released thats exactly what i'll be doing, doubt that will be the case though

Just because it is the way they are in reall life doesn't mean that is how the should be in a game.

The thing is though mate if you think about it,you cant have a flashlight that kinda blinds you,it either blinds you or it doesnt blind you,theres no inbetween.

Imagine if they turned it down abit so it didnt blind you as much so you could see,what would be the point in having it?

They either have the flashlight as it is or the take it out totally,otherwise its gonna create unbalance just like they did with BC2 nerfing everything.

Just for the record im a pro BF2 player so i have plenty of experience in this field of FPS.

So is there a page that specifically states that the hit detection will be fixed for release?

This includes the "dying around corners/behind cover" and "people not taking damage".
