I just noticed last night that health regenerates if you don't take damage for a bit after I ditched my medipack to equip the grenade launcher. :o

I knew vehicles did this but am surprised it works with the soldiers as well. I hope that's not in the final game.

I must have missed something when I downloaded the beta at 5mb a second and have had NO issues with Origin since I installed it.

What are the problems you talk of?

That it's an additional piece of software that I have to install and I'm lazy - I want everything on Steam.

Origin is also no better than the old EA Downloader, which kind of sucked.

Examples include:

Annoying to configure download/etc directories (not that hard though - see the lazy point above).

Bigger issue is that with Steam when I reinstall Windows I don't have to reinstall all my games. With the EA Downloader (and Origin) I this wasn't/isn't the case. It's a fairly major point against it though wouldn't be a deal breaker if I didn't have Steam to compare it to.

The download speeds on Origin are nice though not really much better than Steam for me on my 100mbit line.

Had a bit of a lol moment in the metrol tunnels lastnight :)

Most the attacking team was in the middle corridor trying to pushup , so I ran around the side to get maybe 1-2 kills if I am lucky.

But when I ran around the corner there must have been 5-7 guys looking the other way lol brain overload for a second on who to shoot first lol, then started to empty my sks and pistol into them and got about 5-6 kills :D

hmm i thought Dice stated somewhere they will bring CASPIAN into beta last 7 days ?

today is the 5th, 5 days left?

So is there a page that specifically states that the hit detection will be fixed for release?

This includes the "dying around corners/behind cover" and "people not taking damage".

I too look for this mystical and rare list of fixes, so far the one's they have listed jhave nothing to do with most of the problems in the old build, yet seem to mention they've fixed other stuff in it.

The issue i have with battlelog is the interface is so cluttered, as a BF fan im used to the old interface when you open up the game and have the server browser, they could have implemented the battlelog into BF3, so you have a seperate tab on the screen to logon to battlelog and talk to friends ect.. i also dont like the fact that you have to logon to play SP. this is a sneeky way of (DRM) like ubisoft that if the internet goes down you can't play the single player side of things. Steam has the advantage that you can still play games offline and EA should follow this. also for example ppl starting hacking servers ect and dice threatened ppl that there acc might be corrupted(lose all purchases) in essence they still own the game even though you brought it, it's like we are renting the game. that makes me uneasy, not under any circumstances should they have control to remove game we purchased, unless of course im hacking on purpose.

So let me try and understand this (because I will do this if it is the case).

BF3 comes out on Steam so I can cancel my pre-order on Origin.

I still boot into game via Battlelog, but instead of BF3 loading up Origin, it would load up Steam?

I installed the beta a few nights back and had a quick play, it was great, a few bugs but then again it's a beta and not representative of the final game, looking forward to release day :D

There will be no caspian border

Ian Tornay, replied with the following on Twitter:

We can either put work into doing that or into the final product – which would you prefer?

i still feel they should have stress tested both maps, otherwise ppl will derp rage even more when the full release comes and there are major bugs on larger CQ maps. with 3 weeks away will this be the game of the year or BATTLEFAIL.

The thing is though mate if you think about it,you cant have a flashlight that kinda blinds you,it either blinds you or it doesnt blind you, theres no inbetween.

Imagine if they turned it down abit so it didnt blind you as much so you could see, what would be the point in having it?

They either have the flashlight as it is or the take it out totally, otherwise its gonna create unbalance just like they did with BC2 nerfing everything.

Just for the record im a pro BF2 player so i have plenty of experience in this field of FPS.

I thought the purpose of torches was to see in the dark not as a weapon of mass distraction ;)

It's not confirmed at all, just says they are working towards a solution.
BUT
and heres the BUT
it is most likely you will still need Origin.
Steam will just be the delivery method.

You don't see dev's ripping out Gamespy / GFWL / Securom from their games?

So monday is the closing date and my feeling about the Beta is abit of mess, logged on for the first 3 days enjoying caspian border and playing one or two hacked servers, then didn't like operation fail metro, so im playing BC2 & BF2 for the time being. Im just hoping come release day that the game has no issues and runs fine. As other ppl wish they kept CB open to get a feel of the real BF but i guess DICE wanted to tweak COD Fanbase map, my main question is if theres loads of bugs on this map what will we find on other maps.

Have not ordered myself yet im gonna wait for steam version, had a feeling it might pop up,i have put a £5 desposit down from GAME in the highstreet, even if it dont come to steam i still get the Limited edition game in a physical copy format on the 28th October.

GFWL is actually integrated into the games though, wheras so far origin has just been a delivery mechanism. I got MoH on Origin because their servers are faster than steams, but if you have the steam version of MoH you don't need origin. This could have course change, by my gut feeling is that you will need to be logged into battlelog, not origin.
