What film did you watch last night?

Watched Avatar for the first time since the cinema. Still a good all round sci-fi film, but I feel like my interest will decline as time goes on. The over the top CGI will look dated in 5-10 years time. I think its always best to use as much prosthetics as possible. I always thought he could have designed a more unique alien following his previous science fiction creations.
The Dead - 8/10
Pretty good zombie film, good gore in places and an ok story. Only gripe is the camera can sometimes get too close to the action so you can't figure out what is going on.
Good film though and certainly one of the better zombie efforts these past few years.

It was ok, not amazing, which has been echoed in this thread. Could have been so much better, especially with some of the cast involved. Felt a little rushed in places. Still, i'd give it a 6/10

It is a good movie although it wasn't really going to be a bad one either given the supporting cast and director 
Strangely only got an average score on IMDB but we all know how those things can skew.
It's a non-serious entertainment fest really with laughs thrown in. There's no emotional attachment between viewer and any of the core cast whereas in hot Fuzz there was but then again, different setting and plot so...!

Finally got around to watching this, and had high expectations. Unfortunately I found it a bit underwhelming, with a pretty weak ending - I was expecting it to go on for a lot longer and go a lot deeper into the concepts (yes I know it was 120mins).
Shame really.
I will give the series a try (mainly because I love the music), but at least I won't have any expectations going in to that.
