GFWL is actually integrated into the games though, wheras so far origin has just been a delivery mechanism. I got MoH on Origin because their servers are faster than steams, but if you have the steam version of MoH you don't need origin. This could have course change, by my gut feeling is that you will need to be logged into battlelog, not origin.

When it says logging in, it loads Origin, this is to check the game is up to date I think, not sure Steam can do the same function.

Anyone else hate the fact the respawn times are stupidly fast?

What happened to a good old 25 second respawn wait?

Cancelled my pre order :) Not a fan to be honest.

No doubt will pick it up sooner or later, but when the price is right.

But is that not because the game was delivered by origin?

When I try to run MoH I think it loads origin as well, but that's because the origin version needs origin to be running.

Of course I could be wrong. :)

I thought the purpose of torches was to see in the dark not as a weapon of mass distraction ;)

A tactical light is, for all intent and purposes, used tactically as a blinding mechanism (No crap eh? :D). Generally why it has momentary push button activation as a laser point might not a fixed on/off. It also has a very small focus area in order to obtain concentrated light.

Nobody in their right mind would have a torch and/or laser pointer on full time in most combat situations. While some may have focus adjustment and you could use it to see in the dark - It's asking to be shot. It's called a tactical light and not a torch for a reason :p

I do not have an issue with it blinding as long as the following is fixed:

1 - The directional effect works, properly (I.E FORWARD not behind and sides)
2 - The light appears to be some kind of physical barrier to bullets. Shooting into what would be a person behind the light never registers hits?????
3 - No blind effect in good light/outdoors daylight, it's stupid.
4 - No On/Off toggle. Should have to depress and hold a key to activate the tac light.

The issue i have with battlelog is the interface is so cluttered, as a BF fan im used to the old interface when you open up the game and have the server browser, they could have implemented the battlelog into BF3, so you have a seperate tab on the screen to logon to battlelog and talk to friends ect..

I don't understand why people want battlelog inside the application? With battlelog in browser you can access your statistics, friends lists and server settings from any machine anywhere, how does an in app implementation benefit the systems or the end user?

Or do both.

A native app is much much better as it has more flexibility, less compatibility issues and is not plagued with problems such as relying on a default browser being set.

You heard it here first, Steam is moving to your browser!

Eh no.

I feel sorry for people who aren't going to buy the game because Origin.

You're going to miss out on a great game for the sake of two button clicks. :p

Getting "could not join game server as it's full" messages when I try to join any game at the moment.

Is it the same for anyone else?

Can't see any news about it on battlelog.

Battlelog is awesome. The problem is Origin, not battlelog.

Agreed, although the only issue I have had is after a format. I managed to update the beta without any issues. From that point onwards I havn't bothered to open origin/use it.

It does however annoy me off that I have to manage two sets of friends. It would be nice as part of the aggreement with value that an API was provided so that we could link friends between stream and origin.

So monday is the closing date and my feeling about the Beta is abit of mess, logged on for the first 3 days enjoying caspian border and playing one or two hacked servers, then didn't like operation fail metro, so im playing BC2 & BF2 for the time being. Im just hoping come release day that the game has no issues and runs fine. As other ppl wish they kept CB open to get a feel of the real BF but i guess DICE wanted to tweak COD Fanbase map, my main question is if theres loads of bugs on this map what will we find on other maps.

Hopefully the bugs central to the game/engine itself, assuming that all maps use the same code

I have to disagree with you about battlelog. It's SOO much faster than the BC2 interface and once they fix the Party/Squad management it will be pure win. The most annoying thing about BC2 IMO is that if I want to play with my clan, there was no way to join as a party.

Problems with joining servers anyone? Saying that its full when its not!

Great! I just asked that on the last page but seems people have missed it because a new page has been created.

I have the same problem as you.

All servers say they are full.

Cannot find any news about it on battlelog.

That happened the other day, I'm sure it will be fixed soon. It was last time.

running a browser has more compatibility issues than running a game like battlefield 3 to access the same information?

Eh no.

What does steam have to do with battlelog?

Not sure if serious.

Of course it does. When you RELY on browser based plugins to launch games/features across all browsers.

Why do you think Battlelog has that annoying yellow info bar at the top whining that your browser is unsupported. It's not because it's universally compatible, is it?

I have my reservations about having a Browser Plug-In that launches a local executable. How long before that is exploited?
