Dark Souls (Demon's Souls 2)

Nah, I think we'll be okay, it was just in Japan where people got the game several days before it was officially released. It's already out in the US so I think they'll leave us alone (I hope!).

The load times were perfectly fine in Demon Souls, can't see this being any worse, if anything better.

What is the most annoying thing about dieing... The respawns, you know the moment you see "You Died", that the last hours work you put in up until that point is wasted. Unless you manage to fight your way through it all again to recover what you lost.

That is what makes the game for me... Your caution is your shield, if you go running in, you will just rinse and repeat the same mistake over and over again.

Indeed, and what a rewarding feeling you get when you complete an area!

I never got bored of watching bloodstains run off around a corner, then a second later you see them peg it back round only to be splattered by something or beaten to a pulp...

You just never know, inching around the corner with your shield up, constantly moving the camera so you can see as much as possible, only to be greeted by the same doom as the previous poor sod.

I know what you mean, me personally I had never played a game like that EVER.

It takes ages to finish an area because your constantly watching round every conrner as you stated "shield up".

But thats waht made the game for me, you have this tension in it the old "please dont die I have so many souls I dont want to loose"

Most games about 95% of them you can charge on in with out thinking.

This game makes you think......... a lot!!!!
 
i just hope this is as rewarding as demons souls, i dont think ive ever been so pleased to finish a game, its actually felt like i had to use skill and not just grind and hope.

as for the talk of guides, it will be a matter of days before there are so many online guides that it will cover pretty much all of the guide... on top of that all the vids on youtube etc...

also my LE was shipped today from shopto, very pleased lets just hope its here by friday, or even better tomorrow.
 
My collectors edition shipped yesterday morning, should be here for the weekend.

I've pre-warned the Gf that I may be too engrossed in the game to spend much time with her, she replied back with an awesome line:

"It's ok, I understand. It's Dark Souls" :D

i wish my wife thought the same but shes doesnt understand it, but she has demanded i get batman arkham city on release so i wont complain

Might have gone ahead and bought the LE if the guide was a physical copy and not a PDF download. Probably going to wait for the standard edition to drop in price, still haven't beaten Demon's souls yet anyway :p.
 
Oh, it really is a pdf download? Bah!!! Oh well, but like most said, the net will be jam packed full of guides in a weeks time :D
