I managed to get the following gold shiny cards from packs:

Maggio (he's black/gold, is this IF or TOTW?)
Farfan
Muller
Liedson
Lennon
Afellay
Khedira
Petric
Rolando
Gomes
Carragher
Diego Castro
Astori
Corluka
Dzyuba

and a whole load of random players in their 70s, quite a few EPL players, etc.

Not sure what kind of team I want to make so I'm still deciding on who to sell/keep. :(

Did you buy them all in the same formation? You want to be as high as possible chem wise. It's relatively easy to get to 100.

No mate, I got them all all in a different one, so I should buy those change player formation card things? I still have a few people who don't match up at the moment, like Eto'o up front, no one has any chem with that man!
 
Lol i put bent and Lucas up for 20,000 or 30,000 buy now...selling one off can buy me a new squad and stop me from buying Anderson for 900 then reselling him for 1300 each day.

Some advice - stop buying players in the wrong form!

What I do is this - research how much on average a formation card costs for your formation - its good to always have a few in your consumables pile. From then on either bid on wrong formation players but take into consideration the cost of the formation card to ensure you end up with the right formation player for a similar price as if you bought them like that - normally its quite easy to end up getting a bargain...

For example Im 4312 and all the Bents in that form are 15k+; yesterday I picked up a non-4312 Bent for 9kish and bought a 4312 card cheap for 700. So in effect I got my 4312 Bent for 9.7kish and I know he sells for 13k easily...

Some forms this doesnt work - 41212 and 442 are good examples just because their formation cards cost so much you rarely see an advantage of not buying the right formation players. But thats why I avoid those formations...

Individual chemistry doesnt matter that much (I dont think weve found the exact science behind that) but overall chemistry does matter...

Sometimes it's also worth picking up a player if he's significantly cheaper in a similar formation. A lot of the formations are 'ok' and give a dark green icon for formation rather than red. For example, a 4-4-2 defender might be ok in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. Doesn't always work, but if it's a good price you can always sell on.

I did that for a while when I had two teams with different formations and you can still get 100 overall chemistry.
 
One thing with the 4-3-1-2 formation all 3 are CM and I have a LW, RM in that mix due to the pace, will this affect it that much?

RM and LM will be a dark green boot @ CM - so it will still add to your chemistry - just avoid anything that produces a red boot (i.e. LM @ ST or something) or red formation (i.e. using a 3421 CB in 4312)...

In your situation if that LW is someone I want to keep Id make him a LM if hes playing at CM...

Syph makes a good point there is some overlap between position and formation as I tried to demonstrate above - its a good halfway house (i.e. when I used 4222 I could use 442 players with a dark green formation - happens a lot with LM/RMs as they dont naturally occur in 4222 formations)

Sell them and you will make more than 150k. You could then build a better team.

Chico goes for about 20-25k. Bale around 40-50k and Tevez around 100k. PS3 prices btw.

Ok mate cool thanks for that, I did wonder about the red boot. Do you actually know what the chem does? I've gone from a pretty much 85 rating player to 82-84 and got my chem up about 25.

Yea I may do mate, I must admit only reason I got these players is because the games were I got royally owned was due to these players! But I'm still not too keen on Tevez, I don't know he just seems a bit meh, might sell him and someone else and get Droga, Drogba and Eto'o ST would be a nice combo I think.
 
You need to give some players a good few games to get used to how they play. Tevez in 11 was a beast for me. Great at dribbling and getting past defenders. Eto'o and Drogba upfront might not be as good as you think due to chem. I dunno, some people say it doesn't matter but I always found hyprid teams to not play as well as teams with 9 chem link up.

Is that how much you've spent on packs? I've just checked and I've paid for 6 lots of 2100 points which is... £98.94 -.-
