RPG spamming has been getting worse and worse. I honestly don't know why dice even include an rpg in the game when it's infantry only game mode.

Another thing that's stupid as hell is the mobile spawn points. Sounds great, only problem is when the enemy plant these things in hidden areas behind the actual front line. So what happens you get a couple of guys spawning behind the attack all the time and the game then becomes a team deathmatch basically since you can't attack the objectives.

Mobile spawn points are ridiculous. Before you find all of them and destroy them, the game is half way over. If you find all of them.

seems like some sort of promotional event going on, hopefully they just let us play the damn map afterwards.

If you have a 1 second ping, when you run around a corner it'll generally be a minimum of half a second before the server is aware of your location in order to report to others clients where you are. The server will probably attempt to predict your location, which leads to other problems, but for simplicity lets say it's doesn't.

If you play aggressively, you now have half a second advantage over everyone else but if you play defensively you now have about the same as a disadvantage. This means the higher the ping is, the less directly related to personal skill the killing is. Sure you still need to aim and hit the shot, but players are generally incapable of reacting to you in any reasonable way if you hunt them down.

Within reasonable levels one could argue that client side registration will give a better experience overall, however I'm not it's the greatest fan. If you take away the obvious cheats this opens the game up to, then it all boils down to this. In server side reg, if you have a sucky ping, then unlucky for you and you need to deal with it for find another server. In client side registration if you have a sucky ping, then unlucky for everyone else.

Like I said, it's probably a lot more complicated than that depending on prediction and the specific implementation, but I played a game for years with my 56k and 300 pings, and I learned very quickly how to exploit the situation for my advantage.

I get the impression it's a nice treat for the Igromir people at the event to have a taste of Caspian Border and nothing else.

I'd be very surprised to see Caspian Border available again before the beta finishes.

Seems a bit silly not to do some proper 64 player testing though, surely Dice can see the benefit of doing so.

they claim to have already done this during those 3 initial days when the passworded Caspian servers were up.

to be honest thats there who cares bf3 will lose to mw3 ten fold but who cares its a game i dont have shares in any games company and as long as its fun im gunna buy it

im buying mw3 and bf3 and mw3 will be dedicated servers so clans with boxes can put there own servers up again which is a big thing. also as much as i love bf3 i still love the simple run and gun fun of cod .

To be fair, any decent PC gamer will not have purchased BF3 on Play as it is cheaper elsehwere. A lot of FIFA gamers are what I would call 'casual gamers' and far more likely to use Play rather than look around.

Anyone actually got a link of proof that hit detection is or will be client side. I too have been shot behind walls or rocks, but god it happens all the time in BC2 or even BF2. I have squealed on ts many a time "shot through a wall".
