Urban Dead (Browser based zombie apocalypse)

So when are we going on a rampage? :D

I think once everyone has free-running and construction we could make an attempt at taking the mall back. Until then, I think it's best we stick to small sorties to level up. There are looooaaads of zeds up north.

I've also started to play Die2Nite, would be cool if we could get a whole town started with OCUK people, but I don't think it can be done.

I just used about 25 AP searching in one and didn't find a thing, assumed I was doing it wrong! :(

Yeah you only have 6% chance of finding one there so keep at it. What did you start as? Sometimes it's better to play to your early skills so you have a means of earning xp quickly. Your chance to hit is pretty low with the axe until you have axe proficiency and hand-to-hand combat skills

I started as a Private, tried taking a few potshots at zombies with my pistol but missed lots and used most of my ammo so figured I'd try and find an axe as a backup as I couldn't get into any police stations to find more ammo!

Damn it I just used up what AP I had left trying to find zombies, there are none 5 blocks north or south of Hutchinson

Any zombie hotbeds nearby? I have 5 FAKs and will venture out for some zombie hunting tomorrow morning but I'm reluctant to waste AP searching for the buggers!

It's all about creating a scout character to obtain the free running ability. Once you've got that you can obtain supplies from various buildings. The recommended approach is to get a fire-axe, some first-aid kits then go out attacking zombies. When you land an attack you'll get some XP and then you can heal the zombie for an additional 5 XP. Your first skills should help to improve your hit chance so further increasing your XP input.

It seems to me that you shouldn't really use up ammo for just general zombie hunting. It yields the greatest damage output but it requires additional AP to actually acquire the ammo in the first place so it's not the most efficient levelling-wise. I'll be going all out with my ammo when it comes to taking the mall and other operations that require quick and heavy attacks.

Edit

Well I've just scouted north using my binoculars. There's a single zombie outside Bennet Auto Repair (1 block east, 2 blocks north) and a single zombie outside Crate Auto Repair (3 blocks north). It would be pretty sweet if we could get people to give regular-ish scouting updates.

I forgot I ran out of AP this afternoon. :(

If anybody can revive me I'm in the carpark just South of our base.

Who broadcasts on 28.28? Is there another transmitter tuned to the same frequency or is it coming from hutchinson (just curious).

Well my little trip to Caiger Mall went ok - Havn't taken any damage and managed to kill 2 zeds :) Have only 12 pistol rounds and 1 FAK left so I'm heading back to base.

As there are so many zeds up around the mall we would probably need to go up as a group and hit certain locations at the same time, if we wanted to remove the zeds. Even then im not sure there are enough of us to take back the mall, repair and hold it.

The zeds might even come down and pay us a visit once they have destroyed everything around the mall. I get the feeling defending would be a lot easier than trying to attack in this game.

the Kening Building firestation at the north of East Becktown has 3 zombies outside so they might be moving down already :).

The lone zombie outside our base is down to 35 hp now :)
