It may well be slower, clock for clock than a Q6600, however, it will use a lot less power. I remember the Q6600 (especially when clocked high), used a lot of electricity and kicked out a lot of heat.

So is the bulldozer slower clock for clock than my Q9550? I guess I can cross it off the list as a potential upgrade then. It's either i5 2500k or wait for ivy bridge then.
