AMD Bulldozer Finally!

The following chart was posted on XS.

It seems to be from this review site:

It looks like the top three charts are for the FX CPUs.

The Core i7 charts which are blurred have a three in them??

Was that the original file name?

Remember, we also need to compare the performance level (with 2500K/2600K), when overclocked. This is very important as any enthusiast who is going to buy a sandybridge intel cpu is going overclock it. The sandybridge cpus overclock like demons. The question shall be if AMD can also overclock.

BD can overclock the same amount.

Helpful :p
EDIT : AMD in my experience have always been good at 3DSMax rendering. my 965 at 4GHZ could outpace a 4GHZ Q9550 (I think, it was the same or something)

lol, more spin from you.

AMD has always been good in one single thing where it beat a Q9550, so beating a Sandybridge in it means nothing?

The 965be is squarely ahead of the Q9550, in what 9/10 tests in that review the 965BE beats the Q9550, but your position on a benchmark that doesn't look favourably, is to pretend its the one benchmark where AMD does well in.

Q9550/Q9xxx aren't as good as Phenoms, flat out, not surprising due to when each is/was available. Core i3-i7's pretty much spank Phenom's, Intel's older architecture doesn't spank phenoms.

Even ignoring all that, Bulldozer is so vastly removed from Phenom 2 architecture, it literally doesn't matter anyway, what AMD was good in before, if this was based off Phenom 2, AMD would most likely still be good in vs Intel, + any improvements made so might be stronger elsewhere. being an entirely different architecture, Bulldozer could be strong everywhere P2 was weak, and crap everywhere the P2 was strong.
