I've used nothing but AMD for years, and I even I can see through their marketing.

They are desperate enough to compare Bulldozer to a 980x, for pete's sake ;) How can you take their marketing seriously after that?

yeah. i got no uni tomorrow anyway so i might just have a long gaming session with occasional interwebz checks. i'm gonna be buying one of the cheaper BD chips regardless of how good it is (well, within reason) so i have a vested interest

It is an insanely priced CPU though.
