Dark Souls (Demon's Souls 2)

Fianlly took it out myself, couldn't do as you said so just used the winged polearm and poked at him from range until he died.
 
Maybe a stupid question but is there a way to compare items in the shops with the ones you wear? I just bought some mail chest piece from the first merchant you come to and I think the only higher stat than my starting pyro gear is physical resist. So I think i have wasted my souls!
 
Since i've got the Dragon sword, enjoying the game a lot more. I am actually doing damage to things now!

Well i was enjoying it anyway, just now it's even more fun doing mass damage :D.

Absolutely fantastic game, who,d ever of though dieing could be so much fun.
Lately i have no patience when playing games , but this has gripped me, the pacing , and reward is genius
 
to do list,
1. find more goodies in blight town
2. snipe all the drakes in "valley of the drakes" and see where that leads
3. get my longbow to +10
4. get electric damage for my +10 falchion in anor londo? see 2
5. farm crystal doods in woods for elec power? see 4
6. resist farming humanity in the depths, i'm gonna die and lose them anyway.
7. farm titanite instead from the water leach things near the start of depths instead, using fire! :) very quick.
8. ring second bell at some point, prolly when i'm SL80+ yes i'm a n00b at this game even though i've 300+hours in DeS does'ny mean i know what i'm doing :p
 
What do humanities do again?

Any tried invading/has been invaded? Is the PVP fun? I gather you get some kind of reward?
 
I got this last night and **** me its hard. I must have died 100 times already. Got to the Tartus Demon (I think) on the bridge and got past him because of a bug, presumably. He did his jump attack which knocked me off the side of the bridge and I plummeted to my death. Started back at the last bonfire and reached the bridge again but he was nowhere to be seen :confused:

I then proceed to the next bridge only to be killed instantly by a ****ing dragon before I'd even seen it. :eek: :mad:

Seems a strage glitch (although hes one of the easier demons) and yes that's what this game does, you need to take caution and look what your doing at all times or your done for.

I'm only a lvl23 knight but I've finally beat some huge dual sword weilding bull thing with a couple of hounds if he isn't deadly enough alone first time I walked in I died almost instantly but thanks to a bit of luck I found his weakness.

After that I've just levelled and got heavy soul arrow
 
I can see me needing to invest in a new controller or two playing through this :D

I do like the little messages people leave though, they've have helped me a few times.

I'm only lvl 5 at the moment and it is hard going. Any tips for survival or levelling up more quickly?
 
I cant beleive it finally managed to beat havel last night was hard work lvl21 deprived with no magic , havent felt that sort of feeling for success in a game for ages i lost count on how many times i died.

Backstab is king ;) Ring is worth it though aint it. working through the gardens atm. got killed by some lightning wielding headless boss. I should go back and do capra demon though. Think ive killed all the other bosses/minibosses of that area ish. Hours playing yesterday and only went from 22 - 23lvl ha!
 
defiantly ring is a big help , killed a bull and a black night this morning in a churchy looking place this morning before going to the bonfire where the black smith is havent had a game thats got me outta bed early to get some time in before work in ages was great need to go back n kill the knight at the top of the tower before the bull thing.

humanitys effect item drop rate and if in human form you can be invaded or summon a helper, summink like that :)
 
went into the forrest (the one with the seal on the doors near the bonfire) in human form, summoned a helper and we owned everything in there even an invader, then 2 invaders came in and one shotted both of us, came out with over 40,000 extra souls :) after going back in on a mad dash for my death spot, think i had about 20+ nasties chasing me lol
 
i've said it before, if you're killing more than you've been killed then you're doing well lol. this game is more like a sport really in just trying to stay alive. y'know you think you're tough with your new uber powered weapon then a small group of easy beasties surround you and give you a damn good pummeling lol aahh i love it :) hurry up GT5 update so i can get back to it!
