I start the game by using the d-pad to set my team to defensive mentality, that way the attacking players attack but the defenders keep their shape and never push up unless you force them to. I play 4-2-3-1 which has 2 holding midfielders as well so they can give the back four a lot of protection. My best defensive line up is:
  • Schmelzer
  • Hummels
  • Howedes
  • Lahm

I wouldn't even bother going with the incredibly slow CB's like Mertesacker or Metzelder, they're great at defending and attacking set pieces but they're virtually useless defenders in open play, you have to be really cautious of where they are on the pitch if you're planning on using them. If you're new though and don't have many coins to spend then I'd recommend Arne Friedrich of Wolfsburg and Westermann who plays for HSV, they're both good and fairly quick for CB's. Cheap as well.

Yup they were good games! I'll never understand your goalkeeper though, he let in several long range goals but managed to save about 3 point blank shots from one of the best strikers in the game. :p

Oh and I hate Abate.

Thanks for the tips just one last question , you say to set the team up as defensive on D pad, so the defence don't push up unless forced :confused:

How do you force the defenders to push up? Do you mean using RB to force runs ? Or do you mean setting offensive off the Dpad?

Set them to defensive and they'll just sit back unless you force them to pressure the opponents with the shoulder button. I'd recommend not using your LB or RB to make runs down the wing either, the last thing you need with those slow CB's is for them to become exposed on the flanks. If you move a CB out of position to cover the LB or RB then there'll be a massive gap in the middle and unfortunately the German CB's aren't ridiculously overrated like some of the other players in this game so can't get back quick enough.

Disgraceful this. At least you didnt lose any of your players though although losing all them coins is ridiculous

Contact Microsoft if they have bought MS points and tell them it wasnt you. They might refund you if you put up a fight. I would recommend taking your card details of XBL if you havent done it yet.

Because of the whole situation last year with Andy too, where he was going to loan a player to someone but someone else pinched him, im really hoping its not someone from here as its just not on, I know people dont seem like that but you never know and I do just hope it was a random hack or a "guest" on here and thought they would test them selves.

Anyways, your good at trading so no doubt you will be up to 1 million coins within a week or two

Can you not get in contact with Microsoft/EA and try get all your stuff back? :( I've had a WoW account hacked once, absolutely no idea how they got the details. In the end I just formatted and changed every password for the sites I use.

I use a different email for battle.net and a different one for XBL, so hopefully it doesn't happen again! Not sure what else you can do to prevent this stuff.
 
I've changed all passwords, making them a lot more complex and removed my credit card from the billing, I need to also remove my paypal, now I'm making life hard for myself if I plan to buy anything because of someone putting the fear in me about this! :(

Contacting MS would result in pretty much a 25 day account lockdown while they investigate, 4400 of 6000 points were left on the account, so I bought some packs! Torres in the 1st :D lol

I've tweeted @EA about the lost coins, but in fairness, i bet they get so many people "hacking" friends accounts with fraudulent fraud claims that it'd be as much use as peeing into the wind :(

I'm over it happening, its done now, I've locked down the account as tight as I can in reality, stuff happens, its a few virtual posessions, after my Mum having cancer this summer its definitely a reality check when you lose a few things in a game, just a pain in the arse that it happened, and my biggest worry is that it'll happen again!

Maybe I was targeted due to having a big trade profit? maybe it was a random hack, can only imagine how many people get done completely randomly by DHGate people etc.. maybe someone/lurker here...I really don't know.

All I'm worried about is it happening again, and that things won't feel "the same".
 
Spent £10 on some packs.

Got Ibra, Lucio, Nani and Evra. Managed to make over 200k with them. Bought Xavi for 158k.

I just noticed, If you wanted to, you can convert CM to ST. I took Fab from CM and put him as CF. Took two cards to do it as there isn't a CM>CF card.

CM>CAM / CAM>CF / CF>ST

First game I played with Xavi I got beat 3-1. He then sent me a message title "LOL". I assume it means he managed to beat a team like mine or something? I dunno. He was pretty good and have a 83 rated team.

i started to sim a few games on career (ok, allot :D), and wow, its so scripted, i quit and reloaded it a few times when i had major injuries, jones would get a injury of 6months, id quit and reload it, do the game again....and he'd get another injury.....and again and again, along with similar scores every time, and the amount of different ''News feed'' headlines, theres about 4 different ones...say when you ''motivate'' the team, it says the same thing virtualy every time....''Mr blobby Bangs the Drums!'' with the same story, fed up of seeing the same rubbish, starting to bore me just like reading this will bore you.....and ive been FORCED to sell rooney in my second season even though my balance is about 120mil....stupid game mode, i know it isnt football manager, but havnt they got just 5 minutes of spare time to come up with a extra 5 or 10 news headlines while there making the bloody thing, its pathetic, ive only seen 2 different ones for ''Motivate team'' and im in my second season....jesus :(, i know they put effort into how it looks, but please, spend some time on implementing things for the people that can read.

imo they dont care much for career anymore.

Who is the best RM player in Serie A? I have asked this a few times but don't seem to have a definitive answer! Krasics stats look better than IF Maggio and he's a lot cheaper! Anyone else of note?
