I think mod #1 makes sense.

Even if you don't approve of some comments, just get on and ignore them and focus on the proper debate. It would result in the 'trolls' not seeing a point in trolling... ok the 'Lolhausen' trolls.

To those who have invited me - and you know who you are - thanks, I am truly grateful but I really can't handle any more friendships - not even virtual ones ;)

I don't deny that I think that the foreign tax-dodging Murdoch is a crook and shouldn't be in any way involved in the media or opinion forming in Great Britain; I think that Tories by and large are selfish, greedy oxygen thieves; I think that Bankers have destroyed this country's economy and are being rewarded handsomely for doing so; I think that Dr. Fox ought to be in jail; I think that Cameron is incompetent, has God-awful judgement and like Osborne is completely out of touch with how most people live.

I also think taht the NHS is one of the greatest creations in this country, it has many faults but these will not be fixed by allowing speculators to create wealth from ill-health - just have a look at the state of Dentistry in this country to see what the Tories have in mind for you.

Those are some of my strongly held beliefs, based on my observation of the behaviour of the people involved - your opinions may differ - feel free to try and convince me I am wrong - but without resorting to unrelated childish insults:)

Perhaps I read the posts made by others, desperately hoping for something worth responding to :confused:

Do you have any suggestions as to a polite way of responding to the playground comments made by the likes of PetInDaHood, Moron, Maggot, Vibratorman, TeaTray, SpareRibCage or whoever else :confused: :p


However, none of this has a whole lot to do with this particular thread, does it? ;)

It's not the fact that you bring these topics up that's the issue, I've no problem with that, it's how you present them and attitude you take in the discussion that riles people. You're controversial and stubbon with your views, unwilling to understand someone elses opinion on a subject.

Isn't funny how lot of other people manage to have sensible discussions on GD and SC about their political views (and similar) without their threads decending into abuse?

I personally don't have an issue with what you do, I just ignore your threads generally as it's not worth the effort.

I'm out now, I've said my bit. Just trying to help you understand why your threads always decend into "lol stockhausen".

Have you considered the very real possibility that were it not for my tireless efforts to keep the masses rooted to their seats, frothing at the mouth and abusing their keyboards they would probably be off rioting and looting DSG, Carpetright and sportswear stores :eek:
 
Spammers in the past have been banned yet this one still exists. All he does is post links to articles and then leaves the thread and then makes another one, leaves that, rinse and repeat.

What gets me with the above moderator quote is the acknowledgement that some members are posting abuse about another member...and nothing is being done about it.
 
Whilst I appreciate that Moderating such large Forums as OcUK is a huge undertaking and mistakes will inevitably occur I do have to say that the inconsistency of decisions is actually mind-blowing sometimes.

I will use myself as an example: If I post lolfacebook I risk getting suspended, banned whatever by certain Mods. Lolstockhausen is just (If not more overused) and is seemingly allowed and tolerated, now I am deriding a Corporation, whereas the lolstockhausen brigade are deriding a Poster. One is a personal insult, one is not.

Harmless RSS feed program, if your antivirus picks up "stockhausen" it is safe to click the ignore button as it will cause no damage to your system.

Stockhausen, you've done the usual thing of ignoring those posts which you do not wish to see. But this one is right on the button.
