***Sony Ericsson makes Xperia Play official***

Another thing.....This will probably be the same as any other handset on the latest versions of Android....

The phone comes with a few sample songs pre loaded, they look nice with the album covers etc and I have since added around 30 of my own tracks from various albums. I thought that the phone would do something smiler to wmp and find the song info and album covers itself and update but apparently not.
I was then thinking I have the album art on my PC so I could just add them to the phone but then I cant find where the sample tracks are holding the picture files, then there would be the problem of linking the pictures to the correct mp3 file.

Does anyone if there is a setting within the phone to do this?

Thanks

If they are mp3s, you can use MP3Tag to add the image to the ID3 tag of the file, I do it with the covers for my mixes.

Disappointed with the video playback on this phone. Great gaming device but that's about it... selling mine for £280 any takers :D

I was gonna get this but after some disappointing reviews and the galaxy s2 coming out, I've decided against it. Hopefully, sony will release a new improved version to coincide with the release of the playstation suite later this year...

Yes rumour has it they are... but do you really trust Sony anyway...
I did this time and now I'm very out of pocket :'(

Well, the arc seems to be a very good phone so they can make decent hardware. Just wasn't all there this time though. I'll guess we'll find out.

I was given one of these today and well... it's 'ok' but I simply don't understand the point of it, even for gaming. The games are fairly crap too.

It doesn't feel all that solid either, though it's a nice shape.

Yep, I got mine the day of release and am gutted that what could have been a great device has been made pointless by a lack of what it was made for - games. All it needed was few good exclusive games that work best on this platform (Football/Racing/etc) and it would have been great. Typical bloody Sony, great hardware and no software support. Luckily I got a fairly good deal on it, so not too out of pocket.

Now £149.99 on O2 PAYG.

Can't quite decide if I want this or a PS3 (random choice I know)

Hmm seems to be a lot of Xperia bashing in this thread? I bought mine new for £149 in white... It was either this or a Monte Carlo.

Not yet but it breaks a few emulators and the ps1 converter so if you use them then wait a little bit.....
Info at the xda forums......

I am getting rid of my samsung galaxy s, love the xperia play and the GPS works! lol :p

I have just replaced my Desire with a Play - loving it so far :)
It is a sim-free variant, and the 2.3.4 update was available (and installed :D) yesterday....no detrimental effects so far, but my handset is more or less stock, and the only emulator I have installed is FPSE (which seems to still play FFVII and Vagrant Story just fine)...
