Anti-foreigner protest march!

Yes I agree, you can't say it is not right if it is not affecting you directly and don't have a first hand view of the situation.

Of course you can have an opinion on matters even if you are not directly affected. (For the record I am affected, I just don't see how a march has any tangible benefit aside from inciting further disdain).

To be honest, usually for these things if there are enough people it could get some people talking.

I'm not sure, but i think 3000+ people have signed up for the November march.

And yes of course you can have an opinion on it if it isn't affecting you, but just saying 'it isn't important' when there is no first hand witness of what is going on I do not think is fair.

I live in London. There's probably more immigrants in North London (where I live) than there is in most of Lincolnshire. There's absolutely everywhere. Next door live a Korean family. Upstairs live two Norwegian lesbians. Across the road an Arab family with their two boys. My local greasy spoon is owned and operated by a Turkish family. My off license by an Indian. In fact, I have not seen any British families in my street. Granted, I've only lived here 3 months but surely I would've bumped into a Brit by now you'd think? Well I haven't.

I think it's safe to say that pretty much all of us have been affected (not sure how to take that) by the immigrant 'situation'. Some of us choose to get on with things and accept the changes, .... and there there's the rest. Bitching, moaning, complaining, hating, etc. I wonder whose lives are more happy.

I did not say it was not important, I said that there were more important things to worry about, as to what ranks as an important issue to a person - well, that's totally subjective.

Fine, if that is your view.

I don't know why people are aiming the "Getting angry and bitching about them" comments at me because i am doing nothing like that. People in the town are, I am not. I'm just trying to discuss it.

That's fine and I'm glad you show a level of maturity uncommon for someone of your age too, but please start getting used to the fact that things are the way they are and that hate and fear only brings negativity into your life. You don't like them, fine. Want to disregard their existence, go ahead. But don't become part of the red top frothing masses that actively try and cause conflict. Nobody wins. And the vicious circle continues.

Aha yeah, I certainly wasn't planning to join the march, but i will probably go up town to watch a bit of mayhem :p

Can I ask what the racists here think should be done about the "foreigners"? No I don't mean "SEND THEM BACK" or "STOP THEM COMING" as neither of those will happen, the majority have as much a right to be here as you do, so what exactly would you like to happen?

Should they be made to live in certain places or barred from others? Should we say that there can only be a certain amount of "foreigners" in a certain area?

All I ever hear from you lot "We don't want them", much like the "NO CUTS" brigade, they never say what they would rather have, you can't just deport several million people in the same way you can't lower a deficit without cutting or changing spending. You can't expect everyone else to solve your problems for you and then say they did it wrong.

Would be interesting to see what they think...

I've always wondered. If you hate a liberal, what does that make you? Right of the middle?

Liberal has nothing to with left or right.

Right wing liberals are classical liberals
Left wing liberals are social liberals.

Liberals believe in personal liberty.

Most main parties in the uk are liberal.

It comes from the enlightenment age.it's built into western culture.

Sound advice and well said.

Well for a start, there shouldn't really be any asylum seekers here, the rule for asylum is that as soon as you get to a safe country they have to welcome you in. Quite how these asylum seekers get across Germany and France without realizing it's a safe country is beyond me.

Immigrants that haven't been granted citizenship are indeed 'sent back' if they can't prove it to be against their human rights. Stopping immigration is something that should be done. Just a closet ban until a properly defined set of rules can be established that is fair on current citizens.

One thing that should be done is for job offers to initially only be offered to UK citizens of more than 2 years for example. If after a sufficient time period, say 2 weeks, the employer is not satisfied with the quality of response, or there wasn't enough response the job can be opened up to anyone. This would cease the 'they stole our jobs' argument.

A thing a lot of you liberals don't seem to get in your head, is that disliking immigration and immigration isn't racist. The amount of imigration we've seen over the last decade is too much. They've created their own communities alien to that of British culture, a place where native Britsh people feel unwelcome. This is not right and this is where the hatred spawns.

Back in the 60s and 70s we started to see more Indians, but you wouldn't find a huge clump of Indian people living in one area of a city, they were spread about and more welcomed as people were able to accept them easier in a smaller quantity.

It's a basic animal instinct. There was a gorilla mum that took a tiger cub into her care(or something similar), now if you put 20 tiger cubs into that cage, the gorilla mum would have killed them all for fear of her own kids being hurt by them.

There is nothing wrong with the idea of immigration. People should be able to go and live in whatever country they want. But with borders and the very different cultures we see over the lands it becomes very detrimental to the idea of immigration to have half of Poland move to London over the space of five years.

Stop immigration while new plans are drawn up, use the money saved by sacking all the immigration people and put it to use educating and civilizing all the young sprogs (native and immigrant) that seem to have been infected by retardation.

So liberals are perfectly capable of containing their animal instincts? But other people aren't? I think you just insulted yourself, you act like an animal?
