What do all these immigrants do in Boston once the season ends? Most are crop pickers aren't they? Do they just go on the dole?

Here in Grimsby our immigrants are nearly all Factory workers in our Food processing / Fish processing factories.

I spoke to a Polish Taxi driver here a few weeks ago, his actual profession was a Lawyer but he came here to work because being a Taxi driver pays more in the UK than being a Lawyer in Poland!

Yeah unfortunately that can be the sad reality

To be honest im not sure what the pickers do though, but we also have alotta factory workers too...

Apart from Lithuanians getting killed making illegal vodka? Link Unlucky serves them right.

Here just down the road in Grimsby I spoke to a Polish Taxi driver here a few weeks ago, his actual profession was a Lawyer but he came here to work because being a Taxi driver pays more in the UK than being a Lawyer in Poland!

Times are hard, EU crap etc. debt crisis , we dont need them, same when my dads mates went to Germany in 90s to rebuild, they came back, its that simple. I wouldn't mind if they are skilled but they are not, cut corners, no interest in this country other than €€€€ signs

As the video says, it is simply about have equal rights for all EU citizens. IF you move to France/Germany etc then you will get unemployment benefits but if a French/German went to the UK they wouldn't.

And as the video says, benefits in the UK are really low. £65 a week is really low. I will be getting unemployment benefit* in Switzerland, and despite only having a salary from a PhD I will get around £500 a week, a friend was receiving nearly £1500 per a week of unemployment benefits.

(*The reason I will be receiving unemployment benefits is long and complicated but isn't to do with fiances but residence permits. I have a job I will start soon.)

I find that a large percentage (30%) of the people that I see on a day to day basis, are Chinese, and speaking in Chinese. Saying that this is at Uni, where I do have an issue with it, as they do not seem to integrate into the British culture at all. They're all very within their own culture, and do not attempt to socialise at all with any of the English students, frequently talking across people in Chinese. I find them frankly a bit rude.

As for foreigners 'stealing all our jobs'. I think people need some perspective. I have a small issue with them coming over here and just joining the ranks of benefit scum, however saying that, I have no issue with them doing jobs that the benefit scum refuse to do and claiming 'oh they're taking all our jobs.' If they're actually contributing as part of the LF then I have no issue with them being here.

Saying that, I would be a bit :S about half the town being filled with people who were not acceptably fluent in English.

I may have but I cannot remember; however that sounds very likely.

Isn't that kind of stuff illegal?

Even so my view is, were in England, I don't care if you're foreign - but banning the country's people from your pub? Seriously?
