The sun is a lot better than it was in FM3. It's present, but I've yet to come across a point where I literally can't see the track, which did happen in FM3.

I've been shunted once or twice, but most amusingly, a few times I've gone too fast overtaking someone into a corner, braked too late and gone off, hit rewind, and on the second attempt they've just veered off the track right in front of me! Almost as if they knew what I was going to do, and were trying to pre-empt it... ¬_¬
I don't know whether it was a "collectors edition" exclusive, but I have specially painted versions of several BMW cars, not just the M6. I recall an M1, Z4... quite a few.
I've been hit a few times, but that's racing. I'm just watching a replay now and the AI are having a right battle amongst themselves. I like that they're not as predictable and you have to be careful on those first few corners.

Yep. All five of these have custom art car paintjobs in my version. You get the standard car and the art car as a separate item in the dealership at the same price.
To be honest the M5 one is a but disappointing. It's plain white with the red blue and black racing stripes on it. The others are proper
art cars.

This is where you'll lose hours without knowing it, went to do one earlier and before I knew it I'd spent about 20 minutes doing 10 laps trying to catch someone off here!

does anybody else not like the discount bonus you get for the upgrade shop, I've raced my Mazda about 6 times now, and now im getting a 100 percent discount on almost every part. which to me doesn't make it a challenge and pretty much feels like I'm cheating even though I'm clearly not. a small discount would be acceptable bit I think its a bit ott.

There's plenty of cars and things to spend your money on.
If you are the kind of person that wants to work to complete the game, there's enough of a challenge beyond credits.

The AI are a bunch of not rights.
The car tuners and hotlapping community love it. In FM3 it wasn't unusual to spend 30k on a car, and a couple of hundreds thousand buying the tuning parts to try and tweak the last little bit of performance out of a car. That's with the discount you got for levelling up the car.
I helped to test and build some cars for an FM3 touring car series. I had about half of the cars in another form but still blew through 2m credits in a weekend building and tuning BMWs, Audis and hot hatches.
90% of the game for me is the online aspect and the community that goes with it. The single player is just a way to level up and get some prize cars for me.
Give XBL a try on Forza. It's an eye opener.
