Are there any coupons available to use on the pre-order via origin?
Tried a few iv found knocking around the net but nothing works :(
 
Battlefield 3 First Expansion Back To Karkand is expected to be released 1 month after Battlefield 3 is released. (That's what's going around lately).
 
Will be interesting to see how well the new BF3 maps hold up against the Karkand/Wake/Gulf/Sharqi revival... Has any online FPS honestly ever had more than say 3 really popular maps?

what makes me laugh is those BF2 players calling for more maps in BF3 that are the size of BF2s Zatar Wetlands.

But nobody every played it ! it was just too big and took too long to get places. There were tons of Karkand 24/7 servers because that was the most popular map, and it didn't even have jets. Other jet maps like Oman and Dalian plant were popular, but they were nowhere near the size of Zatar Wetlands.

It's true, you could never find it in many rotations a while after the release, although I always thought Zatar Wetlands was an excellent map.

BF3 suports 128 player maps.

So it should be fine (maybe crippling on your machines but still)

128 player metro was madness!

how many servers will use them though ?

Most servers forced players to use the 32 player versions of the map because they were never full. Playing on a 64 player map when you only had say 20 players was tiresome.

Take karkand for example, i hardly ever played the full 64 player version, most servers had the 32 player version in rotation.

There were some 24/7 karkand servers with 64 slots that always got full and as a result used the 64 player maps, but most didn't

Pitty you didn't post this a month ago. It's too late to redeem the voucher now because you don't get the voucher until the 30day trial is up. Some people have had the voucher 2 weeks into the trial, but again, it's still too late if you want BF3 on time

It's still worth carrying on with the trial though because it's £20 for free at the end of the day. That could go towards Batman AC
