wont matter much whether his cpu is overclocked or not in bf3

its gpu bound game

i2500k at stock vs a i52500k at 5.2 ghz is 3 fps different

a 955@ 37 will score same as a i2500k

so you just need a decent quad thats it

I'm not overclocking it for BF:3, i've been planning to overclock it again at a setting i'm comfortable with since i hit 4GHz.

So my i7 920 box standard will not bottle neck BF3 if i had 2x 6950s? As opposed to having a i5 2500k?

Loved all the Battlefields before, although due to not having a capable PC I had to use my 360 to play the Bad Companies. But its just not the same

I think its more nostalgia you’re seeing when viewing those screenshots. I instantly start missing my endless drunken nights of running round karkand looking at those … Oh well, hopefully many more to come
