Hi all,

So that time of year has come where my hands crack up like a mofo unless I get an awesome pair of gloves.

Are there any suggestions out there? I've used the under-armor ones last winter but my hands still got cold.

Ideally gloves that aren't really thick :\

Suggestions! No budget.

When you say your hands still got cold was it because of the wind?

If so you might want to give the North Face Pamir Gloves a look. Around £30 but if you have small hands you can get them for £17.49 at one online place only in small or medium. Im sure there are cheaper ones without the North Face price hike, i just cant think of similar ones off the top of my head.

I have cannondale le carbon gloves for when im out biking in the freezing cold.

Never once had my hands get too hot nor cold, they regulate the temperature so they remain nice and snuggly.

Yup though mine are the 2008 model, so look a bit flashier, performance wise they don't differ.

But they are excellent, look a bit bulky but being made for biking means they're still quite flexible, unlike regular ski gloves.

Just great all rounders, discontinued on crc but im sure you can find em elsewhere.

Three years old mine are, and still going strong.

Id avoid sealskinz, they are a marmite glove.

To all of you saying man up and etc, some people have dry skin that cracks really easily, I don't know about you but I wouldn't want bleeding knuckles whilst walking to town/work.

It depends what you'll be doing, mitts are warmer than gloves as there is less surface area to cool, you can move your fingers more to help circulation and your fingers can share their warmth. The downside is that if you need to do fiddly tasks then you need to take them off, saying that though I rarely need to take them off and when you do take them off your hands warm up quicker when they're back inside them.

I've got an old iteration of the Mountain Equipment mountain mitt whcih I use for out and about, they're only £35 too.

From the sounds of things you want one of the neoprene-y gloves. Thin enough to leave plenty of dexterity, but toasty warm because they keep all the wind out.

Personally I like the sealskinz all season gloves, but you might prefer one of the similar altura ones
