Tyre prices

If your anywhere near Kidderminster, the local tyre fitters price match Camskill Falken 452's for me and then add a little for fitting on top.

I used to have to buy my 17" at around £110 a corner for the vRS, now on the Accord there 16" and £60 cheaper per corner for 452s. I understand there not as low profile, but since it's more about A to B these days I'm more bothered about the £240 I saved in replacing all four!

Camskill prices are very good, I know the boys at the local quick fit and camskill works out cheaper than what they pay wholesale. Also get them fitted, balanced and old tyres dissposed of free :)

Only 15's on the DC2 anyway so tyres are really cheap for me. I've stuck with 195/55/15's atm but after reading the forums a lot of people have swapped to 195/50/15's and upon checking these work out quite a lot cheaper (£36 compared to £56 for T1R's). Would it be worth changing over next time?

Woah, T1R's on a DC2? Hows the sloppy feel? I felt these tyres ruined my DC2, got rid of them straight away. I changed to 16" wheels, can't remember what size I ran though. the 98 Spec JDM runs 16's anyway, sure they are some crazy rare size though.

others i was considering (p7 cinturato, vred cento) were£80-£100 a corner and they couldnt get stock in that size for weeks. ive had those kumhos many times before and really like them, so i chose the kumhos

550 quid for a pair of rears for me, and it looks like i'll have to have a new set within a year of having these new lot on.

Insane how you can get a TV packed with electronics and complex components shipped from the far east for less than two circles of rubber compound with wire inside them.

Still don't get why a 265 35 18 is double the price of a 235 45 17 tho.

Moan moan moan.

probably already been replied too but the moulds/tooling are what cost the money. The more you make the cheaper each becomes

I've got Avon ZV5's on atm, there was a brand new set on when I got the car and I found them really good so I've stuck with them. Cost me just over £100 to replace the front 2. Was just comparing the prices on the T1R's, a lot of people seem to use them, either seem to love them or hate them though! Heard a lot of people say they feel sloppy.

I'm needing 2 new fronts for mine (Mondeo TDi with sports pack) and shocked to see the standard tyres (ContiSportContact3 235/40 R18) which I've been fitting till now are £202 each (fitted)

I've checked back previous invoices and find I've had the same tyres fitted
11/2009 - 2 tyres = £301
5/2010 - 2 Tyres = £320

So the previous prices are higher than I remember but this years jump does seem a bit excessive

They're £155 on Camskill?

My Mondeo ST takes 225/40 - 18" and they're £100 a corner!
